I've been dappling in the world of fan fiction for almost two years now. I started big: The X-Files has an amazingly vast network of fan fiction splintering all over the web. I've read countless pages online during that time, despite warnings that it would do irreparable damage to my eyesight (that has yet to be proven).

I'm also a big fan of the Harry Potter series, and have only recently begun reading/writing HP fanfic. We've all got our own favorite characters, and for an inexplicable reason that I struggle to explain to my family and friends, Severus Snape is my own. My favorite sort of fan fic are the ones that are indepth character studies, be they sprawling epics of Snape's younger years or small vignettes, I love them regardless.
