My Fandoms

Blanket statement: I'm not a slash person. I'm not really a pairing person, actually--I prefer my fics to have the same genres as the original canons, which is almost always action, not romance.

July 2010 Edit: Mostly I'm leaving that last sentence in my profile for the lulz. What have you done to me Mass Effect, what?! I've gotten to the point now where not only do I write pairings but I find them occasionally hilarious.

Star Wars:

Darth Maul and I have a long history, but right now we're in a bit of a period where we've agreed that we need to see other people. If that changes, you the readers will be the first to know.

I prefer the OT (come on, it's got better special effects, and its got young Mark Hamill--not to mention the fact that the acting is bearable), but without the PT I'd be without a lot of my favorite people from the saga. I like character designs from the PT, but the depth and dialogue just...something happened to them. Something bad. However, that means I'm much more willing to write AUs of the PT, because I don't feel like I'm trying to fix something that's not broken.

On the EU:Instead of making a massive list of my favorite Star Wars books, I'll just say they're all by Matthew Stover, Kevin J. Anderson, Sean Stewart, or Michael Reeves (Although he's beginning to fall off my favourites list what with not killing anyone off any more...)

On the Clone Wars television show: I dislike Ahsoka's flat canon characterization enough to call her a Mary Sue. I nevertheless have an odd fondness for trying to improve her--she's an alien Jedi, which are always fun to write--and can now safely say that I like my Ahsoka, the one in Shattered Pieces and Ahsoka's Akul. Other interests include Kit Fisto, Asajj Ventress, and/or Savage Oppress. It kinda took me a while to realize that there is a separate TCW section on this site but I now...have.

Pairings I can stand include LSFRevan/Carth, LSFExile/Sion, and Jax/Laranth; pairings which make me want to punch walls include Luke/Mara, Maul/anyone, and Kit/Aayla.

I like to think that my Star Wars writing is cocooning and someday soon it will emerge again as a beautiful butterfly.

Mass Effect: Shoker. Also Shokermandy, which is as awesome as it sounds. See "Naumachiae" and "Necessary Shapes". Other points of interest include Jack, EDI, and Legion. Other possible pairings include mShep/Jack and Tali/Kal.

I would like to personally thank the anonymous person who reviewed "Necessary Shapes" with "I get the feeling that [Joker's] being self-conscious about goopy runaway metaphors mirrors (and/or replaces?) his being acutely aware of his physical limitations", because, heck, yes. You rock, person. I did not intend that in the fic at all but it's totally in there. I salute you.

Halo: The only installment of this series I'd ever bother to write about is Reach, although I do have a fondness for Mr. Master Chief. Alas, poor Reach. Six/Jorge and Carter/Kat. Other interests include Halsey, Daisy, and Kurt.

Red vs Blue is without doubt my new favourite thing. Washington/CT/tragedy. Also Sister/Donut if it's like this and Tex/Sarge if it's like this.

I'm not really part of the Assassin's Creed fandom, really. I just write when wordswithout tells me to. I do occasional editing and fight choreography for And When The Earth Shall Claim Your Limbs. Despite that, I really ship Malik/maps and Altair/egotism. Also Assassin's Creed fandom, thank you for being intelligent. You leave some of the best reviews.

I'm slowly coming to grips with the fact that it's possible for me to write for Portal even when I'm not face-smashingly ill.
