Age: 25 Location: Texas, USA Ships: Wade/Zoe (Hart of Dixie), Mary/Marshall (In Plain Sight), Elena/Elijah (Vampire Diaries), Nell/Callen (NCIS: LA), Deeks/Kensi (NCIS: LA), Nick/Jess (New Girl), and the bromance that is Sam+Dean (Supernatural) Basically I'm just a Texas Parole Board employee looking for an escape that involves characters from my favorite shows. Right now I'm completely obsessed with NCIS: LA and particularly the Nell/Callen ship. I mean, I love Eric just as much as the next fan, but there's just something that seems to pull me towards G and Nell. Maybe it's the fact that the writers always seem to add in little, subtle moments between them...whether it's them walking into OPS together for a briefing, Callen asking Nell to help him in 'Tin Soldiers', Callen and Sam taking Nell to the prison and on a few other undercover ops, or even him teasing Kensi in 'The Debt' about not water boarding Nell. I also personally love when he asks her to help interrogate the Navy commander in "Enemy Within" and how he has to stop her before the commander lashes out at her because she's so good at her job. "Am I in trouble?" "No. Just next time pick on someone your own size." Or his little comment in that one scene where he says..."She looks like she's running away from home. Don't take candy from anyone in a van."I just find these two ADORABLE,and I love that Callen finds it easy to be open and laid back with her. I also like Deeks/Kensi and can't imagine someone not realizing that these two are made for each other. To be honest, I used to be a pretty heavy Callen/Kensi shipper, but I always seemed to feel like there was something missing with them...they are just both too similar in my opinion. Then Deeks and Nell showed up, and suddenly I realized what was missing in my old ship. Callen and Kensi just were too serious for me, there was no innocence or laughter between them like there is with Densi or Nallen. They've both had such hard lives and they deserve to be with someone who brings out the lighter side of them, and that was just something that I didn't see with them as a couple. Honestly, I think they work much better as close friends. So now I have fully decided that Callen/Kensi are the Gibbs/Kate of NCIS: LA. They are the ship that you only noticed if you watched season one, but if you didn't you missed the whole ship. I love any and all fic concerning NCIS: LA...especially humor fics or fics where different team members who aren't usually seen in scenes together interact in some way whether it be them undercover or maybe just them playing tricks on other members of the team. (Deeks/Nell are a major friendship love of mine, I wish there were more stories where they interacted. I think they have an understanding that Deeks doesn't really have on a friendship level with anyone else.) Pretty much I'm just a huge Nell fan and I feel that she is extremely under used in most episodes. I think there is definitely more to Nell that we see and she is completely capable of holding her own in any situation. Just look at her commanding the room in OPS when Granger makes Hetty activate her alarm. I also found it interesting that Nell beat Eric to OPS and that not only was she fully dressed, but she also seemed like this wasn't her first rodeo where shit was gonna hit the fan. She seemed oddly at ease and wasted no time in getting everyone in gear as to confirm whether the threat against Hetty was real or not. Also, Granger seemed to respect her more than he did the others which made me wonder if there is more in her file than the team knows. Another thing I found interesting was the fact that Nell seemed to take over OSP when Hunter realized no one liked or respected her. Basically, under Hetty's wing, Nell essentially became Hetty 2.0 for a while...enough for Sam to notice and comment on it ("You think Hetty's grooming Nell for something more?"), and enough for Callen and Sam to pick up on that they had to go through Nell to get to Hetty while Hetty was recovering. And then there's the fact that Nell was the one Hetty asked to get her file on Callen out of the weapon's room. Not Sam, not Kensi, not even Callen himself, but Nell. Maybe Hetty and Nell have adorable tea parties on Sunday mornings...or possibly Hetty just respects her after Nell threw her that surprise birthday party that one time. Honestly, I don't know...but there is something about Nell that Hetty trusts more than she trusts most people. And I won't even bring up that episode where everyone is surprised when Nate confirms that he and Nell "go back a few years." Okay...enough rambling...
