| Still Bullet |
Author has written 20 stories for Half-Life, Left 4 Dead, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mirror's Edge, Prince of Persia, and Legend of Zelda. Guess who's still alive Yeah, it's been a god awfully long time since I've last been here. There's a big long story behind that, something I don't want to fill my already huge profile with. The short version though is I simply stopped writing. I don't know when's the next time I'll publish a story here, if I even ever write one at all (I'm so horribly embarrassed by how horrible these are now,) but I'm back. And hopefully, this time, it'll stay that way. Good to see you all again -SB, 5/26/11 Rewritten to make this slightly more tolerable to read!: Also known for being the self-proclaimed “Queen of Typos”, and for talking like a hippie Greetings, my dear fellows! I’m Still Bullet, a rare female-gamer who hails from the depths of the northeastern United States. I’ve got so many nicknames since I never use the same username more than once anymore, but you’re free to call me Hell or SB for short. Or even just Still Bullet, hell, I don’t care. I have way too many hobbies. I don’t remember when I first started writing, but my mom still has little notes from my second-grade teacher praising me for my writing skills. The first fanfiction I have documented goes all the way back to ye olden days of 2004, but the first serious and not crappy (sorta) piece I wrote was in 2007. I’ve been an artist all my life, pretty much. I guess you can say I became a serious artist when I first started role playing for the Sonic series back in late 2004. I still have those drawings, and they’re god-awful now. I stopped role playing sometime in 2007/2008-ish but I still continue to draw anyway. Now I’ve pretty much been a strictly digital fan artist since 2005. I made that avatar you see here on Photoshop in like 30 minutes because I can’t photo-edit for crap and kept adding pointless stuff to it trying to make it look like my idea of a corrupted Prince of Persia, which kept being annoying and looking weird D: Damn it, why can’t he actually exist in-game? Anyway, I’ve been a proud bassist since October 12th, 2006 (how I can remember something as pointless as that, I don’t know) and gamer since I was eight and received a GameBoy for Christmas. Sonic Advance got me started, and I really didn’t start branching out until 2005 when his downfall came with Shadow the Hedgehog. I've also been a collecter of action figures since 2009-ish, but half my stuff is of the Halo Elites. Since I’m so obsessed with video games and hate the stuff most girls would die for, I hardly consider myself a “traditional” girl, so yay, tomboy power :D I’m pretty much fueled by my fandoms. If there’s one thing about me, it’s that I’m not original. At all. Obviously, I love writing fanfiction one-shots for video games since they have more of an involving atmosphere than movies or show or something. I usually like to write about what you don’t see in games, but pretty much all my stories here are inspired by something else, such as a point in the game or some fan work by someone else half the time. I’m not one for romance, so I usually write action stories. I don’t really care for cross-overs, original character additions, and overly-dramatic stuff. I also love getting into character! For some reason it just happens automatically for me, but that might be because I absolutely have to keep it as canon as possible, pretty much, and I’ve played each game enough times to pretty much memorize each line. My favorite fandoms span across the Half-Life, Halo, Sonic, Assassin’s Creed, and Legend of Zelda series, plus the games of Prince of Persia, Fable II, Dead Space, Fallout 3, Mirror’s Edge, Resident Evil 4 & 5, Left 4 Dead, and there’s probably others I can’t think of. I’ve got quite the collection of consoles, spanning from the Wii, Steam, Xbox 360, and original DS. And possibly soon-to-be PS3, but I just want it for the exclusives (HeavyRainohmygod!!) I’m a total and complete classic rock fan. Very few times do I like modern music, and if I do, it’s usually on the alternative side. Those alt-bands include people you’ve never heard of like Peter Murphy, Fiction Plane, Man on Earth, and Incubus. You guys would probably be more familiar with my favorite classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin, The Police, The Clash, Styx, Rush (good god Geddy Lee is my hero) and pretty much anyone in the ‘70’s era. Also Green Day. I also love video game soundtracks; they’re so underrated. Plus, those on the Newgrounds audio portal have crazy stuff. And I could hardly care less about a singing voice—I’m totally and completely for the music, nothing else. I know, I don’t have that much variety in here. Pretty much all just Half-Life and Prince of Persia, but honestly, that’s because they have much more of an open atmosphere and/or totally awesome characters (I freaking love the Prince). Some games just don’t strike me as fanfiction material for some reason, probably because they lack those two things, or I just can’t really think of anything to do for it (why I don’t know). But hey, I try! Wondering how the hell I do this stuff? Well, I don’t know either. Pretty much if I get an idea in my head it’s only about two sentences. I never really plan out my stories until I actually start writing them, which I suppose many would say is a bad idea, but hey, works for me! Plus, that’s how I developed my narrative style anyway. I only type my stuff, too, since it allows for an easier flow of ideas and editing. Plus I type fast. Thank you for any reviews, favorites, etc. you have given me! And thanks for reading this, too, I’m honestly shocked if you’ve read this far since I talk too much XD;; Feel free to send me a message if you want, I’m a nice person :D No guarantee that I’ll get to it immediately since my internet is stubborn and I’m not on so often, but I promise I will read it! So right now I’m working on so, so many things. I’ve still yet to finish that long-due chapter for my Sonic series on deviantART (link’s above) which is taking way longer than I thought it would. I haven’t really been in a Half-Life mood for a while so I can’t write that idea I’ve had in my mind forever (damn it, it’ll be epic if I pull it off, too) and that idea I wanted to try with Prince of Persia is still in the planning stages since it’s so close to the borderline of completely out-there for me. But hey, I might write something for Fallout 3! MaybepossiblyhopefullyIdon’tknow… If you’re looking for something to read, these are the stories I like the most: The Good Samaritan; Deception; Too Much for the Wounded; This is Your Home Now; On the Edge of Faith; Mickey and Jim (chapter three of Tales From the Rebels); Murder; And Then Came the Thunder; When the World Drops Dead; Supply Run (chapter three of Echoes of a Resonance Cascade); Is This My Fate?; Welcome to the Combine Forces, Mister Calhoun; and finally, Just Like Old Times. Adios, dear sirs! Take care that the zombies don’t get you on your way out! | |||||||
