Happy New Years!! Sorry I'm not around so much on ff.net these days as I used to be, but I'll always respond to Private Messages and meaningful reviews. Because I'm far more active on Deviantart, though, if you want a speedy response or if you want proof I'm still alive, you can send me a message over there too. Thanks for understanding. I know it looks like I haven't touched my fanfiction page in forever xD.

On the Writing Front: Stage two of The Art of Pretending It Isn't Your Fault with Contemperina is almost here over on Rina's page FOR REAL THIS TIME after a bit of delay (I know we said October, but life had other plans). We'll be taking the story in a new, different, but equally exciting direction in the coming months so I hope you'll enjoy that. :) Check out Rina's DeviantArt page for some cool TAOP fanart.

Also On the Writing Front: My IRONICA project, TRIUMVERATE, is almost done. But more importantly, I'm taking over writing duties for IRONICA from Ethical Whore with tons of help and collaboration with keytaro. IRONICA, if you don't know, is a gritty, heavy, daft-punk, genderswapped TDI story dealing with rival rock bands and inspired by the film Runaways. You can check out keytaro's deviantart for all the details and illustrations. It focuses on the love triangle between Carter(Courtney), Donna(Duncan), and Gwenael(Gwen). You can find some fanart I did for it on my DeviantArt Page.

And Don't Forget: Everyone who loved Pieces, don't forget to recommend it to your DxC friends who might still be moping like the Phantom of the Opera about the events of TDWT. For those who don't know, it's a one-shot detailing the DxC fallout post Greece's Pieces. Lots of people have written what they WISH would've happened on the show or how they WISH Duncan and Courtney would've reacted to the situation but I had to do something different. I felt that we, all the DxC fans, needed closure but WITHIN the grasp of the canon of TDWT; something we could feasibly see happening behind the scenes of TDWT that doesn't interrupt to flow of how the rest of the show went. From the response I've gotten, my hard work paid off :).

About the Name:
The origin of the name 'strayphoenix' is this: As most people do, I have an alter-me. She's a mutant (Mary-Sue I might add) that lives in the X-Men universe by the name of Stray. Cat humanoid, looks like me, Scott's adoptive sister and host to a cosmic entity similar to the Phoenix. Fun stuff, you should check out my brain one day. Anyway, 'stray' was taken so I went with my two favorite X-Men combined and henceforth developed 'strayphoenix'. As an after thought, it also plays into the concept of Jean as the 'Rogue Phoenix' and it still allowed me to sign my reviews as 'stray' :)

Officially, I have two favorite books, both tied in first place :). A Ring of Endless Light by Madeline L'Engle and looking for alaska by John Green (PS: dftba). I HIGHLY recommend them both, as they both have changed my life and writing for the better.

My favorite books series are as follows, in no particular order:
The Bard Academy series by Cara Lockwood
The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer (regardless of its popularity and the movies, I still hold true that the books were good)
The Harry Potter series is a given (really sad it's over)
The Gallager Girls series by Ally Carter (met her, she's awesome)
The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins (I can honestly say they've changed my life too)
The Wolves of Mercy Falls series by Maggie Stiefvater (if anyone tells you its only Twilight with werewolves they are doing you a disservice)

X-MEN: My favorite X-man of all time is Phoenix. I hate Emma. (Sorry Emma fans) My second favorite is X-23, my third is Cyclops, and Gambit fourth.
W.I.T.C.H.: Favorite W.I.T.C.H. characters in order are Cornelia, Caleb, Will and (yes) Nerissa.
TWILIGHT: (besides Edward and Bella) Jacob, Jasper, Alice and Angela.
HARRY POTTER: Ron, Hermione, Luna, Tonks.

MISC

The Awesome koolkame and I have an interesting sort of "OC Exchange Program" going on where original characters from our stories intermingle in both his works and mine. Vernacula and Valin (both from 'Vernacula') will be chilling out in his DJINN:The Way to Home and 'Dark Gossamer Wings'. His sexy, beautiful, and deadly Belantha (from 'Dark Goassamer Wings') will weave her way further into Vernacula. Check it out.

Contemperina always gets my eternal adoration for being such a kick butt Total Drama writer and soul sister besides :D. I thought I'd give a shout out to some more TD writers who inspire me too. Some other awesome TD writers include, but are not limited to: The Kobald Necromancer, TellMeSomethinIDon'tKnow, Kagome-Inu5, edwardandbella4evah, Calamity Now, Lord Akiyama, and Strix Moonwing. In a fandom clustered with feaux-seasons, crackCRACKcrack-pairings, and enough OOC-ness to capsize an ocean-liner, you guys keep this this fanship afloat and truly keep the spirit of the characters and the show alive as we know it best. Hats off to you. *bows*

My feelings on next generation W.I.T.C.H. Guardian stories in general:
1. It is illogical to think that all five WITCH girls will have daughters
2. It is illogical to think that all five WITCH girls will have kids at all
3. It is also illogical to think that all five WITCH girls 15-20 years into the future will marry boyfriends they had when they were twelve and thirteen
4. It is illogical to think that all five WITCH girls will get married at all
5. It is illogical to think that all five next generation Guardians will have any relationship at all with WITCH
(that was the case with CHYKN with the exception of Yan Lin)
6. It is illogical to think that all five next generation Guardians will even be from Earth. There are infinite dimensions (Ex. Orube)
7. (sigh) However, since this is a fictional cartoon and next generation stories are fictions based on these fictional cartoons, logic really has no play in it at all and you can do whatever the hell you want. This is probably just me :P
8. If your looking for good ones though, ‘Guardians of Eos’, ‘POWER’, and ‘DJINN: The Way to Home’ are exceptional.
