Author has written 4 stories for Guild Wars, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy I-VI, and Ninja Turtles. Heretofore I have written solely original fiction (which can be found at http://www.fictionpress.com/u/503531/) but questions spring into my mind and then turn into fanfics as I try to answer them. If you're looking for more info on my fics and my inspiration for them, then you're in the right place. If you want to learn a little more about me, head over to my fictionpress site. :) -88- My fanfiction and the questions that spawned them: -I- Wandering Do-Gooders If my characters met would they get along or kill each other? What would they really say about all this goody goody questing they get asked to do? - I have plenty more ideas for the adventures of these characters and even have plans for a few new faces. Just give me while and I might get there. This has always been sort of an open ended fic, following more or less along the storyline of the game, but not telling the whole thing. Anyone who's played the game will know that stuff already. Mostly I'm just trying to take the flat player characters and turn them into real people all while staying in the framework provided. I've strewn a lot of details that any player could catch and a few that only a handful of people will know. If you were wondering, my avatar is of the three central characters having a discussion that is going exactly as well as expected. -II- Exit Materia What really is the nature of the relationship between Reeve and Cait Sith? What exactly does Reeve go through when a Cait Sith is destroyed? Why did Reeve build Cait in the first place? - Reeve has always fascinated me as his relationship with Cait is never truly explained in detail. I refuse to believe Cait is simply AI or a robot guided by a controller box in Reeve's hands. There are too many logistical hang-ups for that to work. So I went with something else and tried to see into Reeve's head a little through a purely made up situation. -III- Nothing to Fear What was going through Kain's head as he was losing control of himself? Why did Cecil have such a hard time forgiving Golbez, when he seemed to immediately accept Kain back? Could there truly be nothing Cecil envied in his friend? - I had just finished playing the DS version of this game when I started writing this. In that version you get to see some of the inner thoughts of the characters throughout, and it raised the above questions. Golbez and Kain went through the same sort of mind control that led them to betray Cecil, so how can the paladin forgive one and not the other? Also, I've seen a lot of fics with Kain harboring a deep envy of Cecil, but nothing about the reverse. It's entirely possible the Cecil had his own things he wished for that his friend had. I wanted to explore that a little, as well as how weird it would be to find out you were only half human. -IV- Where His Brothers Are What really did happen in those three months we don't see in the cartoon? How did the turtles, especially Donatello, adjust to the life without technology? How would living among them affect Don's dinosaur geekery? - I can't resist a story full of good brotherly love and togetherness, writing or reading. Don is also my favorite turtle and I really wanted to see what he'd do for three months in the prehistoric. I'll be honest, the bit with the dinosaur looking for it's lost brother sort of came to me in a dream, and I just knew I had to write a fic around it. The idea that what we need/want most is often right in front of us even if we don't see it came to be during the writing. It's too true to not include. -88- I hope you enjoy the fics. Reviews are always appreciated. I will always try to reply and return the favor. Happy reading! | |||||||||
