In spare time, I love to write and read, listen to a vast variety of music, and pursue knowledge of alternative spiritualities. Enjoy what I write; I put a lot of effort into it. Constructive criticism is always greatly appreciated, and even harassment has its own uses. As flattering as praise is, I also like to hear what can be improved on. A Few Preferences: I prefer certain relationships when I'm reading, just like many other people. I also dislike bashing fics, wherein it is clear that the author harbors hostile feelings toward a character and writes them in such a way that they are unlikeable. But keeping in mind that this is a big sandbox, I can play nice with the other kids even when their games are different. W. I. T. C. H. - Canon. (Will/Matt, Taranee/Nigel, Cornelia/Caleb, and Hay Lin/Eric. Irma's up in the air--that's the only relationship I don't have much of an opinion on). Danny Phantom - Danny/Sam. I love stories that focus on Danny dealing with his abilities, ones that focus on the trio's friendship, and (hopeless romantic that I am) romance ones. X-Men Evolution - Remy/Rogue, Kitty/Lance, and Sam/Rahne (the last one is an oddball, but for me it just works). Animorphs - I have a lot of alternate universe ideas for the series, which will all eventually appear because I'm just too interested to stay out. My main ship here is Jake/Cassie, although I don't dislike Rachel/Tobias; I just focus more on the former because it really holds a place in my heart Glee - Rachel/Puck, Kurt/Blaine. Other pairings I don't care as much about - I'll read any other pairing except for ones which split these two. I also like family-Glee fics (with positive, if turbulent, relationships between all members), and ones that showcase Puck's inner changes and the changes in his relationships with the Gleeks as he becomes 'one of them'. White Collar - Neal/Sara. I just love Sara; she is a fascinating character. I see her as a very strong female character, someone who knows who she is and has an inner strength and purpose. Whether or not they are together in a fic matters less to me than seeing her represented as a capable, confident woman (and, as we see in the first half of season three, can remove herself from a relationship instead of playing a damsel in distress and hanging around, hoping to 'change a man'. To me, that she left Neal signifies her strength of character more than anything else, because you usually just don't see female characters doing that.) | |||||||
