Author has written 27 stories for Xena: Warrior Princess, Misc. Books, and Phantom of the Opera.

Most of what I write is original poetry: a habit I can't seem to shake, despite the spectacularly poor response to my first poetic effort at the age of four, which bemoaned the socioeconomic problems created by the massive building site outside my house. (Apparently I didn't learn my lesson, because fifteen years later I wrote yet another poem about a building site, which was thankfully received a little more warmly.)

I started learning to write prose in 2001, after fellow Ares/Xena shippers encouraged (read: prodded, guilt-tripped, threatened) me to give it a try. All complaints about the quantity, quality or existence of my writing should be addressed (spat, hurled) in their direction. Thanks, guys!

Your thoughts about these stories and poems are very much appreciated. Don't like something? Tell me. I might just be able to fix it. Like something? Tell me, I will do my best to write more.

Thanks for reading!

22 August 2009: To my wonderful, patient, long-suffering readers: Many of you have written to me over the past few months asking for news about Solo, and once again, I find myself in the embarrassing situation of being unable to give a useful response. The sad fact remains that I haven't resumed it -- haven't written anything in fact, in any fandom, since shortly after the last update of Solo. That's two years of nothing. The reasons exist, but I will not use them as an excuse. Suffice it to say that my life as a writer has been effectively on ice for that time, and strangely, the characters and plot of Solo are as real and immediate to me now as they ever were. I have not grown bored with them, nor have I abandoned the story. But whether I will be able to translate what is in my head to words on screen remains an open question. For those of you who asked for a timeframe: I have to be realistic. There will not be another update of Solo for the next few weeks, even if I was back working on it tonight. That is simply because I don't write quickly, and I don't believe in posting things until I have at least a couple of chapters in the pipeline. That said, I promise -- still, always -- to keep you informed, and to post an update on my status as soon as I am actively working on it again. Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for sticking with this story and for your persistence, and I hope to be able to justify that trust sooner rather than later.
