Author has written 10 stories for Lloyd Alexander, Devil May Cry, Death Note, and Greek Mythology.

"Proceed with form that another may not be humiliated my your wisdom. Conquer yourself! Never abandon yourself to ire! If you will conquer the indefinite peace, smile at the Destiny that flogs you, but never flog another." -- Omar Khayyam

Devil May Cry slash fans should go to my C2. I only put the best written works, nothing less, so whatever boy on boy goodness you choose to read, none will disappoint.

Under the anime and video-game categories, I write mostly slash, yaoi, shounen-ai, homo-romance...maybe some femslash in the Greek Mythology fandom later on. Most of the time but not always! I like it. It's what I do. Though just because a story has a "contains slash" warning doesn't mean it's a romance story. I rarely write those as a genre unless it's comedy.

The only time I'd write smut is for comical purposes reflecting real sex issues. So it still serves a purpose (wink).

Lloyd Alexander (my all time favorite young adults author--rest in peace. I highly recommend his Prydain Chronicles to youths and adults alike.)

The First Apple Blossom: there is some very light Taran/Eilonwy fluff.

A Single Breath's Moment: King Math-centric. He needs some attention in our small but precious fandom.

I was a fan of many stories throughout my life--cartoons, anime, video-games, movies, books--all have come and went. But Lloyd Alexander's Prydain Chronicles, five extraordinary books: The Book of Three, The Black Cauldron, Castle of Llyr, Taran Wanderer, and The High King, are the only ones I've remained passionately loyal and devoted to since childhood. I am more than a fan of his, but a student. I cherish his work and love the man himself--who lives on in our memories and hearts--both full of wisdom, gentle humor and charm.

It honestly jars me that works like Twilight get more attention than his, with far more consummate story-telling, enchanting landscapes and brilliant, tangible characters that you'll grow to love as family. The only thing his magnificent contribution to children's literature got is a lousy, dissapointing Disney movie called The Black Cauldron after the second book.

I really want to see a half decent motion-picture with a cutie-pie Taran!

I will definitely write more for Lloyd Alexander, and not just his Prydain Chronicles, for as long as I live. At the moment, since I am positive my writing needs quite a bit of sharpening, and the fandom is small but with more skillfull writers than not, I am wary about posting there, lol. I am working hard to write something worthy to be called a tribute to this great man. So I will be posting more for his fandom some day.

Devil May cry (there was never a video-game character more sizzling hot, hard-core and funny as Dante. He makes corny jokes sound like the coolest things to say.)

The Way Devil Hunters Woo: not yaoi/slash. Nero simply argues with a gruff mercenary about who is more "gay" and Dante is his usual flirty self.

Sexy Fight: major yaoi/slash. Because that is exactly what it looked like to me when they fought, no matter how much I tried not to see it that way. Nero spread his legs wide, wrapped them around Dante's hips and bit his gun, for cry out loud! Capcom knows what to do to sell their products to the raging fangirls and fanboys (Gloria); that's the Japanese for you. Western gamers with no sense of what business is like in today's Japan complain about the slash more than the Japanese and the actual producers.

Death Note

The Memitim Protege: about a Death Note secret society trying to get their hands on Raito and his Death Note. Memitim is Hebrew; in biblical lore they are angels of death that destroy those who become immoral and are no longer protected by guardian angels. Raito is the "protege". Major slash themes but rarely any graphic homo-erotic scenes...for now.

Checker Board of Nights and Days: BIG, huge shounen-ai (boy-love)/slash scenes, all throughout. Misa gets a big role because I don't think she deserves the bashing she gets all the time. There's a bit of Raito/Misa.

Smiling Serpent: one-sided slash/shounen-ai in L's head more than anything.

A Forgotten Encounter: not slash/shounen-ai! None. It's about Raito and L meeting when they were much younger and not recognizing each other due to ensuing events. Maybe in the epilogue when Raito is older, there will be a little, but that will be for slash fans; the story can be read without it.

I remember when I first started reading fanfiction, I was in middle school. Almost a whole decade ago. I would read and deeply enjoy stories that now make me cringe; stories full of Mary-sues, major OOCness (out-of-character-ness), character bashing, etc. I was unaware that these were elements that distinguish "bad" fanfiction. I was blissfully ignorant and undemanding. Some of the authors would express their insecurities and I would beg them to continue writing because I was happy to read them. Indeed, reading them brought me joy. I'd come home from school and, like a little girl in Christmas, I'd run to the computer to read them.

I can't stand reading them now. My literary tastes have grown more demanding, more tasteful, I suppose. Henceforth, since I see this done on so many profiles in this site, I will follow example and list here things I "hate":

1) FFnet members that whine and moan about fanfiction. They give no intelligent, guiding critique. They are unhelpful, annoying, self-absorbed, and can be quite cruel in their inability to see beyond the screen."Your writing sucks"; "I hate OCs!"; " O_o"; "Learn how to spell, please." "WTF! so-and-so would never do that! OMG you ruined my love for this character forever!"...Because, of course, when you have to be "helpful" you have to elaborate, and that means you have to write a whole lot more than that. And, of course, to be taken seriously, you have to sound way more intelligent and mature than that. Too much work, apparently. Or they do not have the patience to curb their unwarranted negative emotions and just need to childishly express them. Great way to criticize tripe fanfiction, by writing a tripe comment that fits better in a silly debate on youtube.

2) Pompous writers that haven't figured this is not a prestigious publishing company, but a site for amateur writing, and whine and moan about amateur fanfiction on their profiles. You do realize where you are posting? What great whines of nothing of importance save the limitless and fantastical imagination of youth! Never mind that it is the one sanctuary they have from the real things to complain about in a hard to live in, overpopulated world. You sound as smart as you feel, to lesser minds than yours.

3) Reviewers that never wrote a bloody thing, who flame "bad" fanfiction and dare to tell an author, however young and unskillfull, to quite writing. These are the worst, and disdainfully ignorant. The lowest type of writing.

4) Crass, ignorant flamers that haven't figured out a particular story was written by a mentally handicapped human being venturing to share something they put their heart and soul into. Yes, this actually happened and I was profoundly disgusted and heart-broken, imagining this person's grief and growing self-hate. Having to deal with enough hardships in her life, she was brave enough to try her hand at something many in her permanent state would not, a simple story about Ginny and Harry getting married, and as a response got an inbox FULL of blind and very stupid people bashing her. My throat clenches right now just thinking about it.

5) Whines.

FACTS THAT WILL NOT CHANGE: This site is full of "pervading" slash (homo-romance). In some categories, most are very badly written. There are fresh, green authors populating this site, writing original characters, and out of character portrayals, etc. Most are teenage girls. And all that good stuff.

Get over it. And grow a wiser head, maybe you'll see something beyond your irritation.

I don't think I've seen the few males here complain so much so I have to say FFnet goes like this: young girls write tripe and slightly more mature females nag about it like old women. Young girls grow into slightly more mature women and nag about the next generation, forgetting where their first stepping stones lie. Cycle goes on and I want to puke.

Humans mature, and as they do, so do the characters and the stories they love as they see them. Fanfiction, however badly written in the beginning, has sparked a child's passion for imaginative literature. Is that not more important than your petty complaints that this site doesn't have more of what you prefer to read? Don't care? Self-absorbed? Well next time you think of telling someone they write to self-indulge, that's the pot calling the kettle black.

It is only natural that children seek self-gratification (it is their very nature) in their boundless imagination because their literary comprehension is still being developed; and adults, being more down to earth, more developed, and more understanding of what they read, care more for canon. Wow. What a shocker, right?

It may irritate one because we don't want to hack through a jungle of bad fanfiction to get to the good ones, I understand and share the same feelings, but this isn't a bookstore, or a library of good fanfiction (check out other, more picky, websites), this is a site for everyone in the world, of an immensely wide range of ages to try their hand at writing. And they have every right to! I say go for it.

Write. Write what you want. And one day you will want to write stories that are true to their origins because through your thoughtless tripe fan writing (I ain't sugar-coating) you'll have explored the characters in your own way and have found their true worth as you yourself grow into your own character through maturity. Listen to advice, however harsh, but never to those idiots that tell you to quite writing. Flames? Who's flaming you? They don't have the intelligence to write a proper critique, hardly qualified to have a credible opinion on someone's writing.

I amvery picky about the material I read here. Indeed, nothing but well thought out and well written fanfiction is what I seek to indulge myself with in this site. I don't like self-inserts Mary-sues; original characters--though they are not all bad; I don't like unrealistic slash, etc. But I am not complaining that such things are out there, and my poor, helpless self is unable to stop them from continuing to be out there.

If you want to help, take a nice breath, muster up some patience, as well as some intelligence, organize your thoughts, and give a nice constructive critique that will help that writer in the long run. Do they retort immaturely? Like I said: in the long run. It is human nature to mature and to grow. When that immature writer finally matures and looks back on his/her old writing, he/she will remember your words and realize why you gave them, and he/she will write better for it. Keep that in mind, instead of what is immediately before you, when venturing to comment on any work. And keep that in mind, also, when you claim to be intelligent. If you are intelligent, you see beyond what is right in front of you.

I share some of these thoughts, these demanding preferences. I want to read "good" fanfiction. But I will not complain on my profile about how this site, for amateur writing, is full of amateur writing.

When reviewing, I am not going to hurt anyone's feels without purpose; without thinking of their benefit, not my own. If I make the decision to criticize something, it will be thoughtful, considerate, knowledgeable, and helpful. I want that writer to take me seriously and to learn from me; I want that writer to write better. And I will express that in my review--not hate.

"Proceed with form that another may not be humiliated my your wisdom. Conquer yourself! Never abandon yourself to ire. If you will conquer the indefinite peace, smile at the Destiny that flogs you, but never flog another." -- Omar Khayyam
