However, a lot of that is classified by ANBU. Obviously... Anyway, as stated before, I am one of those Naruto fans who proudly wears the badge that says "Narutard" on it with a smile, and a Bleach fan who will willingly turn pedo for Ichigo or Hitsugaya and will attack a random tree in defense of Seireitei. I am the head and founder of Tasogare, a cosplay troupe based out of the East Coast, centered in North Carolina. I I write a lot of fanfiction and I also love READING it, especially angst/romance/comedy featuring my favourite pairings. (NejiHina and IchiRuki for teh win!) Even moreso if they also have a great and engaging storyline. I don't like PWP(plot-what-plot?) fanfiction, even in regards to lemon fics, as I feel that a badly written lemon is as bad, if not worse, then a badly-written regular fanfic. I'm not a big fan of OOCness and AU settings, usually because I like to see the characters I'm fond of acting like I'd expect them to, in situations that make sense with the series. I don't mind self-insertion/OC-insertion fics as long as the author either centers the fic on their character WITHOUT making it a "ZOMG my character kicks so much more ass then the REAL ones" or finds a way to weave their character into the story such that their OC becomes as well-developed and integrated a character as the real ones. Blame it on my pickiness as a GM, but I don't like shoddy characters or storylines/characters that seem as though they haven't been truly thought-out and developed. And OMG deliver me from Mary-Sueness. I specialize more in oneshot stories than I do in chaptered fics simply because I often have more trouble making an idea last through numerous chapters. However, I do have several currently-running chaptered fics that I have detailed below, as well as several that are already finished. Current Projects: Ghost-White Eyes(GWE)- Action/Romance/Angst. Pairings - NaruHina, SasuSaku, NejiTen, ShikaTem, maybe others. Set during the 3-year time-gap, though some things may be different from the manga. Also assumes that Naruto left for only 2.5 years, thus meaning that the filler stuff from the anime happened during that first 6 months or so. Summary - During the second Chuunin exams, the upcoming Konoha Chuunin receive the shock of their life when a girl shows up for the exams. A girl with luminous white eyes, bearing the name of Hyuuga. Hyuuga Suzuki is a nobody from a tiny border village, carrying a great burden of hatred towards a clan that gave her their eyes and a thirst to prove herself the greater successor of the powers they tried to take from her. What will Hyuuga Neji do when confronted by her hatred? How will it affect his life and the lives of those around him? Why does Suzuki hold such hatred for the clan of her origins?How will the prestigious and haughty Hyuuga clan react to the appearance of a Branch-member not marked by the cursed-seal? Tempers flare, traps explode, and ties are made and broken as Suzuki and the other examinees strive for their goals, both personal and professional. Author's Notes: My goal with GWE is to make a good, well-written, involved fanfic that not only develops the characters and the relationships between them, but does a good job of telling a story. I use a slightly alternate timeline that is a meshing of both the manga and the anime. The reason for this is that, unlike many Naruto fans, I do not discount or hate the filler in the anime. my view on it is that the filler material occurs in the first 6 months after the Sasuke-retrieval arc and it is only AFTER that that Naruto leaves to train with Jiraiya. Because of this, the story is going to use THAT timeline rather then either the manga or the anime. The other reason for it is that I haven't gotten all caught up in the manga yet and so I don't want to write about things that I don't have clear detailed information of. If I do choose to continue Suzuki's story past the time-skip, I will have then had time to catch myself up and make sure I stay accurate to the manga. I will try to keep characters very-much in character with a minimal amount of OOCness. In addition, I have given many characters new outfits/appearances that differ from their Time-skip outfits simply because I like the idea of changing things around a little bit. Most things haven't changed much, and it will often be more of an adaptation of their current outfit. A Darkened Ray of Sunshine(ADROS) - Action/Romance/Drama. Pairings - NejiHina, ChouHina, OroKabu, Others. Set 3 years post-timeskip, also has a slight bit of AU around the Sasuke-Retrieval arc in regards to Chouji's fate but I'll go into that in more detail when the storyline gets to that point, likely in a little note at the beginning of whichever chapter it ends up being in. Summary - Wrestling with both her hidden feelings for Neji as well as the harsh treatment she constantly receives from her family, Hinata finally makes up her mind to leave Konohagakure and to forget the things that weigh down her heart. Stepping out into a world totally different from the sheltered life she's known, when a promise of dreams fulfilled comes from an unexpected source, she grabs onto the chance and starts anew. But when the very thing she tried to escape comes to find her, will she run from it a second time? And what of the ones she left behind? Hinata and Neji's fates become inexorably entwined within the final moments of Otogakure as they struggle to escape fate and carve a place for themselves in a world that is changing too fast to keep up with. Authors Notes - OK, so unlike GWE, ADROS sticks more to my preferential OTP of NejiHina. It was actually inspired by the combination of a cosplay idea, a LARP session with my Tasogare fukutaichou, and a random drabble I came up with. ADROS is a chance to see what would happen if Hinata shed her shy exterior and took a similar path as Sasuke, willing to give up a great deal in order to achieve the recognition that she is denied by her family and by Neji. It's in part because I feel that Hinata's greatest flaw is not that she is weak, but rather that she lacks confidence. With the skills that she DOES posess, added to the abilities of her clan, if she could simply gain that confidence that she needs, Hinata could be badass and could quite likely give Neji a run for his money. In ADROS I have attemped to give what I feel is a fairly true-to-character evolution of Hinata as she goes through this transformation of herself into the more-confident person that I feel she has the potential to be. I chose to use Otogakure as my setting because I feel that Otogakure is a world apart from the remainder of the world. Otogakure is a place where death waits for you around every corner because the rest of the world is readied against you, and so the denizens of it's walls live very differently. I don't think that Otogakure shinobi likely have many of the same strictures and limitations on themselves that most other people do, simply because if death could be waiting for you at any time from any direction, I feel that most people would live a life that is much more free and uninhibited. Otogakure of ADROS is a world poised on the brink of destruction, a fanciful kingdom struggling to hold onto itself even as the outside world closes in with death in their eyes. And it is upon this stage that Neji and Hinata's tale unfolds. Shards of Spirit(SoS) - Action/drama/romance. Pairings - IchigoxRukia. Set in a hypothetical post HM arc where everyone returned home with Inoue after their respective battles with the Espada. In SoS canon, nothing past Ichigo's fight with Grimmjow happened, thus is isn't referenced here. Summary - Do we ever get a second chance? An option to redo what we did wrong? And if we did, would we know what to do when it was given to us? When a mistake threatens to cost Ichigo the thing he never realized was most important, how far will he go to get it back? Gravely injured, hovering at the brink of death, Rukia remains trapped within her mind, a prisoner to her own inner demons, while Ichigo, determined to restore her, faces not only her own darkness but the fears and illusions in his own heart by journeying into her mind itself to find her and bring the pieces of her soul back together. Author's Notes - So SoS is one of my two "babies" of Bleach. It was spawned partially from an idea that had been floating around in my head for awhile in regards to how Ichigo could come to understand Rukia better and partially from my love of all the twisted mental imagery in the movie The Cell. SoS is a chance to take the idea of one person going on a journey through another's subconscious and giving it a Bleach spin, with Ichigo taking the part that Jennifer Lopez played in the movie as the one going on the journey. I really enjoy this story, as it has given me a chance to do one of the things that I like most, which is breaking down a character into all of their component parts and picking out all the little quirks and insecurities and ideosyncrasies that make them unique and then turning around and creating an entirely separate character based on that portion. One of my favourite portions of this story is the dialogue/relationship between Sode no Shirayuki and Ichigo, given that Shirayuki is at the same time willing and unwilling to give the orange-head any aid in his quest in spite of what will happen should he fail. In truth, SoS is not a story about fighting against evil. It is a story about finding the evils and the demons within oneself and learning not to overcome and defeat them, but to accept them as a part of yourself again. | |||||||||||||
