UPDATES

June 16, 2009 Nominations for the 2009 - 2010 Genesis Awards have opened. I am proud to be an executive and Judge for the awards, and therefore am legally bound and morally obligated to urge you to go nominate for the best in FF7 and FFX fanfiction.

Feb. 11, 2009 Wow, it's been a long time, huh kids? I'm slowly but surely getting cracking on the rewrites and Cally promises me she's working on the betas. As they come back to me, beta'd and corrected and rewritten, I'll put them up here.

And in other news I'm writing a crackpairing epic fic that I will most likely finish before I put up here. I'm going to dabble with update schedules, which, in my world, means getting it 100 percent complete because I never have a writing schedule. I miss the days of writing for a newspaper, because I had a set deadline, but lemme tell ya, that atmosphere can suck the fiction right out of a person.

But yeah. I reiterate to everyone that they should go check out the Genesis Awards - our new site has almost no content (sorry, my bad. I'm the webmaster and seeing as I'm 24, married, have two stepchildren, a roommate, and three cats, as well as a job - you can see why all of this takes so much damn time), but you can still access it at genesisawards dot net. It has a link to the forums.

August 10, 2008 (again) I've downloaded all of the stories I plan on editing. Getting cracking on that now, but no promises for timeline. I have deleted the stories I plan to delete, and have gone through and re-rated all of my fiction. In the past I just rated everything I wrote M, but really, quite a few of my fics have almost or no sex in them. So now those of you who get squicked out by lemons (I'm looking at La Editor) can read whatever they want. I'll be editing the sex out of mine, as well, for this site. Remember that in the future all lemons will be available on my site (they are not right now, and I apologize for that).

Finally, someone let me out of my cage...

Name: Tasha.

Age: 24

Birthday: 29 September

Quirks: I get angry pretty easily, I love role playing games, and I tend to call people I love "fucker." That includes the people who like my fics, friends and family. I also tend to write in AP style, which is something I'm trying to get out of. I was in the newspaper business for a year and a half and it took it's toll on me. I do not review very often; this is a massive shortcoming on my part. I apologize in advance.

I hate Mary Sues. I do not, however, mind self-inserts. There is a big difference.

Music is my life. It really is. It's in my blood, it's in my mind and soul. I don't have the talent to write my own music, but I very much admire the work of musicians from a lot of different genres. It gets worked into my stories a lot, and you're just gonna have to deal with it if you wanna read them.

I will read almost any pairing, but my ships are Yuffie/Vincent (FF7), Rikku/Auron (FFX), Yuffie/Reno (FF7), and Snape/Hermione (Harry Potter). Snape/Hermione is really my only OTP. But once again, I'll read almost anything.

All our light that shines strong
Only lasts for so long

My most frequently asked question: "Where do you get your ideas?"
Answer: I have no idea where they come from, they just pop into my head randomly and I exclaim "I JUST GOT AN IDEA!" to Cally or anyone else who will listen, who usually goes "DO IT!" And then I do, and you guys read it.

My second most frequently asked question: "How could you support flames/harsh concrit/Flame Rising? UGH!"
Answer: Because I don't quite suck enough to warrant them and it doesn't effect me? XD I kid, I kid. Actually, I don't support flaming so much as I don't give a shit about them, and I feel you should feel the same way because it's just the damned internet. I think that anyone who writes - for hobby or for a living - should develop a thick skin as far as criticism - constructive or otherwise - goes.

My third most frequently asked question: "Will you do a pairing of _ and _ for me?"
Answer: I do not do request fics. This is because I have very little control over the creative process - and I'm serious here. When I write, things pop out and I generally have no control over it. It's all my muse, baby. Occasionally a request will spark interest in my muse, but it rarely turns out as originally outlined. I also do not do collaborations, because my muse is apparently a picky son of a bitch who doesn't like letting anyone else have control over the fic - not even me. :( While I do not do collaborations and requests, I do occasionally do gift fics. If you want to become a friend enough to warrant a gift fic, well, you'll just have to exert the effort. :)

My fourth most frequently asked question: "Who is your beta-reader? / Do you need a beta-reader?"
Answer: World, meet Cally. Cally, meet world. Cally is my best friend, beta-reader, and roommate. I do not currently need a beta-reader, but if for some reason my fiction warrants the view of someone who I do not know, I will definitely be searching through my comments and seeing who likes my fiction and who doesn't. No offense, I'll probably pick someone who doesn't like my fics. They're more likely to be useful. :)

My fifth most frequently asked question: "Why don't you reply to PM's or reviews?
Answer: I, unfortunately, do not have the time to respond to the myriad of reviews and PM's that I get. I would love to be able to do so, but it's an unrealistic goal in my situation. I have a husband, two stepdaughters, a very needy cat, a job, a website, and a social life, as well as my writing and other artistic endeavors (which include a lot of cosplays for myself and other people, modding a Nerf gun, a webcomic, making Animated Music Videos, filming and video editing, and earning my journeyman's badge in my union). Occasionally I will reply to a review or a PM if it strikes a chord in me or I feel the need to clarify something, or if the person was asking a question, but I just can't do it. I'm sorry. Know that I read and save every review and PM alert that I get and that they mean the world to me. I promise.
