Welcome to the profile of The Batchild! Why, hello there! My name is Leigh (pronounced ‘Lee’) but here on the interwebs, I am known mostly as The Batchild. Things you should know about me: Updates will occasionally be slow since I have two jobs and I'm taking online classes and, well, sometimes I like do things other than write. But never fear, I will NEVER abandon a fic without saying so first. In-progress works: In the Shadow of the Bat (Nolan-verse Batman) - will definitely be finished. Updates are a little slow due to work and wandering inspiration, but this will be finished, never fear. I still can't believe how much you guys like this fic. Treasures Lost and Found (The Hobbit movie-verse) - in-progress. It's sort of in limbo, though definitely still being worked on. I'm just not sure I'm happy with the two chapters posted, or where the third chapter is going. I will finish this one though. No worries. Space Dementia (Firefly) - on hiatus. The plot sucked and I lost all interest in working on the piece. I may come back to it, or rewrite it at some point. Mass Effect Moments (Mass Effect) - on hiatus. I need to figure out what moments I want to write for Mass Effect 3 and if I want to even finish the thing. Upcoming work: Don't Let Go (The Hobbit movie-verse, AU) - a fic focusing on Kili and Astrid in the modern AU-verse I'm developing with a couple friends. Some Secrets Are Better Left Untold (The Hobbit movie-verse, AU) - a fic focusing on Thorin and Nerys in the modern AU-verse I'm developing with a couple friends. Seven Steps to Happiness and Heartbreak (The Hobbit movie-verse AU) - a one-shot taking place before the events of the main fic, detailing how Thorin and Nerys got together. Every Time You Go (Being Human UK) - three chapter fic about Mitchell and his tumultuous relationship with a vampire named Evelyn. Radioactive (Star Trek '09) - A rewrite of Ain't No Rest For the Wicked. I've been unhappy with that one for a long time and want to rewrite it. Untitled Bulletproof Skin Rewrite (Star Trek '09) - A rewrite of Bulletproof Skin to go with the other Star Trek rewrites. Will be a massive format change, methinks. Untitled Intermission Rewrite (Star Trek '09) - A rewrite of Intermission to go with the other Star Trek rewrites. May become longer. Home For Christmas (Star Trek '09) - What I'm calling the long lost Christmas fic. I intended to write this a while ago, but couldn't finish it. I'm going to do it now. Well, eventually. Untitled Star Trek Piece (Star Trek '09) - I want to write more in the Star Trek 'verse, but I don't know what yet. Maybe the new movie will give me some ideas. Untitled Avengers Piece (The Avengers) - Been planning out some stuff because I want to write about Quinn. I have some extra drive to do something good with this character and her story now. This will also likely be a crossover with Marvel: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. because yes.
