Hi there :) I am an English university student currently taking a degree in history. I’ve been writing fanfiction since I was about fifteen, and this steep learning curve is quite evident in my earlier stories. I like to keep them up on here to prove to myself that I have made a lot of progress over the years, but mostly because I am too lazy to go back and rewrite them. I have a lot of other unfinished stories on my hard drive, but they remain unposted for the moment. Some will probably never be finished; others I am determined to complete one day, even if it takes me forever. I blame my stubborn nature, heh.

My preferred pen name is Fallen Angel, but I am sometimes known as sidhlairiel in other places on the web. I tend to write fanfiction to explore my favourite ships, make jokes at the expense of my fandoms or to cause untold angst and misery for my favourite characters; often, a story will contain all three. I hope to write for new fandoms in the future, but I am determined to finish my current stories first. Feel free to send me a PM/review/present if you have any queries about anything :)

UPDATE 3/3/11: Wow, has it really been almost a year since I updated this thing? My bad. I've gotten a number of reviews/PMs lately asking if I am going to keep updating Dark Paths and the answer is most definitely yes! Unfortunately the next chapter is kicking my ass with its complexity and it's taking a lot longer than I thought it would to complete, but fear not - hopefully I can get it up soon and stop with the irritating suspense. Updates on my LOTR parody and also on Cradle will follow as soon as humanly possible.

24/4/10: Fanfiction has been taking a bit of a backseat to real life at the moment, but I am still steadily working on Slouching Toward Bethlehem, with five chapters revised and reposted so far. For those waiting for an update on Dark Paths and Jackson, Where's My Paycheck? I do apologise. My parody muse has been severely lacking recently, and the next chapter of DP is simply refusing to cooperate! Once the summer rolls around though I should find the time and energy to tend to them. Fingers crossed...

27/12/09: At the moment I am focusing on the Lord of the Rings fandom and regularly updating Dark Paths, my Aragorn-centric story, and Jackson, Where’s My Paycheck?, my parody of the movie trilogy. Updates tend to be in the region of 2-3 weeks, depending on how busy and/or motivated I am. I do plan to pick up my AoD story When All Light Dies again at some point in the future, but at the moment it can be considered as being on (very) extended hiatus. As of December ’09 I am also slowly revising Slouching Toward Bethlehem, so look out for the revamped chapters of that to be posted bit-by-bit. I’m hoping to finish my obligatory ‘dark’ post-AoD story, entitled Cradle, after my trip to Prague in June.
