Author has written 9 stories for Young Wizards, Doctor Who, and X-overs.

The muses dream of a reputation for being unusually gen. Or at least feeding a writer of plot without porn. But between all the conventional ships and unconventional ships and overall need to write more minor characters in unusual situations (or simply to write more), we have a ways to go yet.

Aliases:
northern_magic -Primary online writing journal.
northernMagic -A Teaspoon and an Open Mind (major Doctor Who archive).
n-World Project -DeviantART.

Writing/reading genre:
Gen and het. Descriptive vignettes and oneshots, mostly. A lot of my stuff will also be heavy on maths and sciences (references) rather than introspection. Character...is not my strong point, but good fanfic has helped me improve.

Fanfic recs: The Crossings (under construction)

Favoured friendships from my current sources of inspiration:
Buffy: Giles & Buffy, Buffy & Willow, the core four.
Bones:
Brennan & Booth, though not adverse to the 'ship. Brennan & Zack, Bren & Angela, Zack & Hodgins.
Doctor Who: The Doctor & Leela, The Doctor & Donna, Donna & Wilf, everybody & anybody...
Heroes: Claude & Peter, Matt & Mohinder & Molly, Mr. Muggles & almost anyone. Kinda stuck pre-S3.
Merlin (BBC): Uther & Gaius, sort of. Arthur & Merlin. Morgana & Gwen. Uther & Morgana, in a way.
NCIS: Gibbs & Abby & Ducky. If only these three made up the focus of the show. Gibbs & Jenny, Jenny & Cynthia, Ducky & Jimmy, Gibbs & Fornell. Abby & Kelly (AU).
NUMB3RS: Larry & everybody.
Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis: Love, love ensemble stories and crossover ensembles, especially with Zelenka & everybody.
Young Wizards: Tom & Carl. I love the idea of them as friends instead of lovers because it defies expectation and is more interesting to me.

'ships, OTPs, and such (sweet to strange): Charlie/Amita, Angela/Hodgins, Daine/Numair, Larry/Megan, Sam Carter/Jack O'Neill, Doctor/Rose (any incarnation), Remus/Tonks, Georgia Lass/Rube Sofer, Buffy/Giles, Uther/Morgana, whale!Nita/Ed'rashtekaresket.

WiPs:
The Weekend Shift
(Young Wizards)
Topologica (Doctor Who- Ninth)
I Spy/Agoraphilia (Doctor Who- Eighth, Leela, own alien character, with appearances from other incarnations/companions) (in planning, one and two half scenes complete)
Forces Manifest (Discworld/Doctor Who/Heroes/Young Wizards)- the result of a meme. (to be confirmed)
No Running with Swords (NUMB3RS, previously Seeing Things)- Larrycentric "commission" piece (intro complete)
1 untitled for the Five First Lines challenge (Doctor Who- probably Ninth)

Complete but unedited (and therefore will not see the light outside my LJ):
The TARDIS always gets her way. (Doctor Who- Ninth)
Timeheart (Young Wizards- HW or AWAb)
The Favour (Doctor Who/Discworld)
Dravia, dravia Gallifrey (Doctor Who)
