Reports of my Death have been Greatly ... Something or Other.

Another half year gone and still nothing from me...sigh. I blame school. Though I've been writing to keep myself sane, nothing's quite good enough for me to put up. As a result I've got plenty of one shot fics done from a whole variety of fandom (including my first CI!) but no enthusiasm to put them up...they all seemed like great ideas at the time XD

I don't know what to say. Um, the basics, I'm a teenage girl that is uncharacteristically addicted to Star Trek in all of its forms (except for DS9. I could never get into it. I think it had the weakest characters of all the series'). I am in complete aspects a true geek. "I spawned, I ran, I fragged". You know, gaming and fixing my PC and stuff. My Penname is The Nth Degree. I started it using it as a forum name or my LAN Party identity (We sometimes played video games in our computer class - one giant classwide game of Quake vs each other) because I was showing my love for Anderson Cooper (of CNN fame) - he did have a segment called that when he had his original show before it moved and everything (another rant for another day). And then, it turns out, by some undescribable amount of the imagination, that The Nth Degree is also the name of my favourite Reginald Barclay centered episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation - where Reg gets super intelligent and basically saves the Enterprise. I was a child when I first saw the episode and it's been one of my favourites ever since

Bridging of the Minds - Updated July 17, 07; chapter 12. Oh my God. A full year and no updates :( I am a sad, sad excuse for a person. But up to chapter 15 has been mapped out so I'll see if I can remember any thought process and try writing it again.

Do No Harm - Pending; chapter 1. I haven't posted this yet; my very strange yet quite plausable House, MD/Star Trek: TNG crossover. Chapter 5 is done. And let me just say one thing: ROMULANS!!

What One Will Do For Family - Pending; chapter 1. This is a 24 fanfic I've been working on for a long time...I've taken a twist because this story is entirely from Andre Drazen's point of view. I base part of it before he shows up in Day One to kinda show why he's doing what he's doing, and the other part with moments that take place during Day One (like the cafe scene with Alexis at 2 PM and the entire thing at the pier) - inculding extended stuff, like what would happen during commercials or when the show flips back to Palmer or CTU. So yeah...

Mark IV - Pending; chapter 1. This is a Eureka/Iron Man crossover spawned by the very similar natures of Nathan and Tony Stark. In reality, they are related. Tony comes to Eureka to have Nathan fix a problem, and then Mandarin shows up and Nathan must take up the mantle of Iron Man to defeat Mandarin and save the town of Eureka from ... his Mandarin ness. Chapter 2 is done...we'll see where this goes.

Ocean's Three - Pending; chapter 1. A very fangirlish crossover for me ... crossing over Law and Orders CI and SVU with Raines (remember that show?) Kinda inspired by the fact that Jeff Goldblum is joining CI in the fall but just ... I didn't wanna touch the character before details came out, and in April (ARGH!) find out that everything I wrote is just dead wrong...so I took the Goldblumminess as Raines. Story centering around Goren, Munch and Raines.

A Veiled Eclipse - Pending; chapter 1. A Harry Potter/The Dresden Files crossover. Not sure where I am going with this (aka I found it after a long time of not working on it). Chapter 5 done.

One Way Glass - Pending; chapter 1. It's a sort of drabble I started to write about a mirror universe CI. I saw the movie Under Siege 2, with Eric Bogosian playing an awesome villain, and it just started from there "...what if Major Case was a crime syndicate led by Ross and his psychotic chief enforcers Goren and Logan?" So it's a little weird and just kind of a rough dialoge right now.
