Hey everyone, Mary C. Tripp or The Planet Mary here, welcome to my ff.net page. Yup. That pic over there is me and my American Paint Horses Magic and Voodoo. That's really us.

I'm twenty three years old... and it does feel old. And live down here in the midwest, on the Kansas and Missouri border and right in the middle of Tornado Alley (I love tornadoes and Gary Lezak, he is the man and his little weather-gasms...). I'm Irish Italian with the stubborn, determined, compeitive attitude and temper to match.

I aspire to be an officer for the Police Department of Missouri (possibly in Montana sometime in the future). Currently I have been put on roster for Summer 2010 and Spring 2011 Academy sessions with prospect to graduate a POST certified officer March or April of 2011. I'm hitting the gym, have the majority of a degree in Criminal Justice (Police Sciences) done and I'm looking at defense classes in preparation for academy.

I have great respect and interest in the Southwest and West. Including the history (good and bad), culinary, national sports, geology, biology and culture, especially in the Native American and equestrian culture of the regions. This is why most of my original characters and stories are in/from the Southwest and typically are Native American in heritage (though I am not myself). I try to remain as realistic to the area and culture, including the current and historically resident Native tribes, including geography, language, wildlife and so on, please forgive any inaccuracies or stretches to fit my imaginary designs.

I am an equestrian, have been an equestrian all my life and will remain absolutely obsessed with horses until the day I die. I participate mainly in Western style riding, mostly trail and pleasure riding with intention of advancing towards reining, barrel racing and cutting with time and experience. I am especially draw towards American founded breeds; the American Quarter Horse, the Pony of the Americas, the American Mustang but am particularly fond of and obsessed with the American Paint Horse and the Appaloosa. As well as draft horses; the Clydedale, the Percheron (I LOVE Percherons), the American Cream Draft, the Belgian and the Gypsy Vanner/Irish Tinker. This is why most if not all my stories contain horses at one point or another, particularly those breeds. I probably know more about horses and get along better with horses than i do anything or anyone else.

I currently own two American Paint Horses that are both registered with the APHA. Ricka's Magic Song (Magic) is a breederstock black overo mare that is 11 years old this October. I have been with her for five years now and she is my sis, she's my near bombproof horse and I can take her anywhere. I plan on eventually breeding her out to an overo stallion to start my own bloodline. Seh has shown a natural talent for cutting and cow work. I also own Willie Damerius (Voodoo) who is a black overo gelding with a little coloring and one blue eye. He's going to be five years old this year. He shows some signs and behavior of being abused and i am currently helping him to trust people again and rebreaking him to ride. He has the build and intelligence to be a great reining or barrel horse and I have yet to try him out with cattle.

INTERESTS AND SUBJECTS OF CHOiCE:

TELEViSiON: I have particular interests and obsessive love for SUPERNATURAL.As well as on again off again interest in BONES, HOUSEand LAW AND ORDER:SPECiAL ViCTiMS UNiT. SOUTHLAND was brilliant and I wish that it was still airing on Public Access. In the past I have loved watching THiRD WATCH.

MOViES: Well... damn near anything with a horse or centered around horses. I especially like black and white Westerns and and war movies from the thirties, forties and fifties. HiDALGO, SEABiSCUiT, and BLACK BEAUTY are all favorites. I also like horror movies. Especially the HANNIBLE series. I'm a sucker for anything PiXAR has made or ever will made and I have a new love affair with the STAR TREK:2009 movie. I absolutely adore HOW TO TRAiN YOU DRAGON, best thing (barring SPiRiT that Dreamworks has ever made and pretty much wipes the floor with PiXAR).

BOOKS: I have a love for memoirs, especially by soldiers, police and equestrians as well as studies made on the criminology, criminal psychology, criminal mind and criminal behavior. favorites of mine are TAO OF EQUUS and ANGELA'S ASHES as well as WiTH THE OLD BREED: AT PELiLUE AND OKiNAWA. I had some interest in the Harry Potter series up until the seventh book, I thought it was terrible.

STUDY: Criminal law, criminal psychology, criminology, sociology, psychology and equestrian.

SPORTS: I cannot live without the NFL and the MLB. I'll root with ugly love for my home teams the KANSAS CITY CHEiFS and the ROYALS. But I also love the HOUSTAN TEXANS, the ARiZONA CARDiNALS and ARiZONA DiMONDBACKS.

FiREARMS: I love guns and hunting of all kinds but I have specific love for the .50 AE DESERT EAGLE, BERETTA 9 MiLLiMETER, COLT 1911 and all kinds of rifles and shotguns.

FiCTiON: Of course I'm into seeing what people like to write about SUPERNATURAL but for the most part but I'll glance at a little bit of everything. That affair with STAR TREK:2009 has me looking that that page everyday, too. I've also followed my new love HOW TO TRAiN YOUR DRAGON into fandom as well, it's a well founded and quickly growing fandom.

i CAN'T LiVE WiTHOUT: A pair of good fitting jeans, my favorite flannel shirt and a soft knit sweater. A study pair of boots and a saddle that your children's children will be able to use. A truck that that can haul as much hay, straw and grain as well as a trailer. Solid ground. A good book, a cup of bitter coffee or sweet tea and spring morning in the hammock. A cold beer and a shot of tequila. A notebook and a pen and of course a good horse.

PROJECTS AND PROGRESS:

LiKE US BUT ON HORSEBACK (and the Like Us Universe): SUPERNATURAL fiction works. Take place mainly in the southwest and based in the town of Tuscarora in northern Nevada. Features the main, original female character Celia "Red" Northwind as the third to Sam and Dean's dynamic duo. The main story is set before Season 3 (pre AHBL 1 & 2) but most of the oneshots are after the main unit. One more chapter left for the main story and plans and designs for a multiple chapter sequel Buffalo Nation is in the works.

HUNTERS AND RANGERS: SUPERNATURAL and PR:TiME FORCE crossover and co-written with ~SierraNicole. Where Sam and Dean and Celia (from my Like Us Universe) are in Silver Hills, California working a Hunt on a pack of vampires and encounter and end up working with the Power Rangers to finish the Hunt. Set in late Season 3 (about three months before Lilith takes Dean) Still in progress with an undetermined number of chapters left. Updates infrequent due to Sierra's current deployment in Iraq.

LOST HORSE CREEK, MONTANA (and the Native Sky Universe): STAR TREK:2009 fiction works. Takes place in San Sierra Stables, Woodland, California, onboard the Enterprise and at the Native Sky Ranch in Montana and features Captain James Tiberius Kirk and First Officer S'ch T'gai Spock. The story is based on the idead that Kirk is a Whisperer. (The concept was founded as W. Shatner is an accomplished rider and displayed Kirk as a rider in the movie STAR TREK: Genesis while trapped in the Nexus). This is a slash series. Is a series of one-shots and a multichapter that is still in-progress.

CHiLDREN OF iCARUS Series: HTTYD fiction works. Settings are global and features Hiccup and Toothless as well as assorted OMCs and OBCs (Original Beastie Characters) who are members of a society/clan referred to as The Children of Icarus. This is a a series of one-shots still in-progress.
