Author has written 2 stories for Wizards of Waverly Place. I'm 22 years old. I'm mostly an original fiction writer, but I'm getting into fan fiction as a way to keep my inspiration flowing. I'm also busy with school (my second BA; my first is in English), and working two part-time jobs. This all means that I won't be writing fan fiction very often, but when I do, I hope it's good. My pen name comes from my idea that love is really ambiguous. People love who they love, without necessarily being able to choose. And love comes in many forms, between family, friends, and lovers. Sometimes those forms of love get mixed up. This should explain the pairings I support and will most likely write for (see below). Obviously I'm not opposed to incest or semi-incest. Oddly though, themes like that don't show up in my original work -- much. And obviously I don't give a damn about canon, haha. By the way, if you like my fan fiction, I tend to post it faster to my LJ. My LJ is friends-only, but I keep my fan fiction posts public for two weeks (or longer as I lose track of stuff XD). I don't mind people friending me if it's just for fan fiction. Or you can wait until I get around to posting here (which I'm getting better about). What I'm watching in TV: House (It's really interesting to see a different side of House this season), Lie to Me (Tim Roth amazes me in every episode), Heroes (Haven't really enjoyed it since the first season, but I keep watching in hopes that it'll go back to good character drama), The Big Bang Theory (Have I mentioned that I'm a total geek? I am), Law and Order: Special Victims Unit (One of the only crime dramas I watch besides Criminal Intent, Monk, and Psych), Glee (HOMG, I love love love this show. I was basically a gleek in high school doing choir and dance, so I'm totally into this), The Vampire Diaries (Meh. I'm sick of romantic vampire crap, but I keep watching cause I get bored), Supernatural (Been a fangirl since day one, and it only gets better with every episode), Bones (I guess I'm waiting for Booth and Bones to get together. It might actually happen this season), Fringe (This is right up my alley, so I definitely love this freaky science stuff), Stoked (Like 6Teen and Total Drama Island, for some reason, I really like the animation and random episodic stories), Ghost Whisperer (I'm still angry that this show was chosen over Joan of Arcadia, but it's pretty interesting), Medium (I'm a psychic who has precognitive dreams, so I kind of sympathize with the main character), Ben 10: Alien Force (I still love cartoons, what can I say?), Star Wars: The Clone Wars (I'm a Star Wars fan. Yes, even the prequels, simply because I love Anakin's story), iCarly (This show cracks me up. The zaniness makes me happy), V (Already much better than the original, so I'm good with it). What I'm watching in movies: Just saw Whip It (It was really good! I enjoyed it very much. The acting was good, and the overall story has me laughing and smiling quite a bit. Great overall.) What I'm reading: Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones, D.N.Angel, Volume 12 (manga) by Yukiru Sugisaki (OMG, after how many years?! I'm so excited!), and Johnny the Homicidal Maniac (comic) by Jhonen Vazquez (Frickin' crazy and bloody brilliant). What I'm listening to in music: The Fray, Parachute, Silversun Pickups (the three of which I LOVE), Demi Lovato (I was surprised how much I liked her second album, considering I didn't like the first), Marie Digby, Holly Brooks, Selena Gomez & The Scene (Still undecided. I find I rather like the beat of all the songs, so it blocks out foreign noise while I'm writing, and keeps me entertained. So, I guess, I'm thinking pretty positive about it.) Novels I recommend: The Line Between (part of The Young Writers Series) by Kelsie Nygren. She's one of my friends, and though this is her first novel and she was only 16 while writing it, I highly recommend it because she has a great talent and a bright future ahead of her as a writer. If any of you happen to read this book and would like to send your thoughts about it to the author, I will happily pass along the message. Constructive criticism is always most appreciated by writers (or it should be if they want to improve their craft). Please help support writers by buying their books. Thank you! :D (Link leads to Barnes & Noble.) Films I recommend: Stage Beauty. Not necessarily for younger viewers because it has some foul language and deals with complex concepts such as identity (sexual and overall). Billy Crudup and Claire Danes are wonderful, and it's quickly become one of my favorite movies. Quills. Geoffrey Rush, Joaquin Phoenix, Kate Winslet, Michael Caine are phenomenal actors, and this was such an exceptional film that it's definitely in my favorites. All about sex and perversity, so not for younger viewers -- although this masterpiece is worth your emotional maturity. Fanfiction I recommend: Dante's Stars by Pretani. It's a brilliant fic for A Series of Unfortunate Events, with the pairing of Violet/Klaus, which was one of my first incest ships. Pretani is a fantastic writer, whose skill with the written word really brings you into the story she's weaving. There is so much I love about the novels and the film for this series, and Pretani really only increases my love for the Baudelaires, their unfortunate struggles and eventual triumphs, and especially the palpable passion and love between Violet and Klaus. And a huge plus for the fact that she still updates her story and is finishing it up soon. I'm going to be very sad when that day comes, but the journey will be so worth it. Fandom pairings I support: Violet/Klaus (A Series of Unfortunate Events) Derek/Casey (Life With Derek) Ben/Gwen (Ben 10) Goren/Eames (L&O:CI) Nuada/Nuala (Hellboy II) Justin/Alex (Wizards of Waverly Place) Freddie/Sam, Freddie/Carly, Freddie/Carly/Sam -Yay OT3- (iCarly) Ulquiorra/Orihime (Bleach) Gokudera/Tsuna (Katekyo Hitman Reborn) Mihashi/Abe (Ookiku Furikabutte) Miharu/Yoite (Nabari no Ou) Dean/Castiel (Supernatural) Mary/Marshall (In Plain Sight) Tony/Effy (Skins) Nick/Cassie (Push) Shilo/Graverobber (Repo: The Genetic Opera) Ruby/Jordan (Ruby and the Rockits) Anakin/Ahsoka (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) Fan Fiction Updates: October 20, 2009 Principles, Chapter XI has been posted (October 5) Chapter XII is complete. It is being typed up, and when finished, will be sent to my beta for proofing. Sorry it's taken me so long. Principles Notes: A post-Chapter VI note: Oh, hah, did anyone else besides me find it interesting that in the Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana special, Justin apparently doesn't know the Heimlich Maneuver? (And Alex does?) Even though he's CPR certified? Can I tell you that the Heimlich is easier than CPR? But whatever. I'm sticking with my theory that Justin should know both. XD A post-Chapter X note: Seriously, people. Stop asking when Jalex will happen. Can't you tell by reading that's it's not going to happen any time soon? It may be a while. Though I believe it will all be worth the wait when it finally does happen. Okay? For my sanity, please stop asking. And stop commenting about how incest disgusts you, because it's only going to get worse as the story progresses -- you do realize that, don't you? Yeah, so, thanks. | |||||||||||
