Author has written 44 stories for Dragon Ball Z, Harry Potter, Mediator, Danny Phantom, Fullmetal Alchemist, Doctor Who, Final Fantasy VII, Dark Shadows, Supernatural, Kingdom Hearts, and D.Gray-Man. (Last updated 07/10/09) Hi, I'm timydamonkey and I'm a 19 year old girl with Asperger's Syndrome. I mention this purely because it explains why I write rather eccentrically. I've given up saying "I'll update this soon', because I never end up doing it, but I fully intend finishing my fics that are still lying around. I am also on whofic as Khantael, where there are some stories currently unposted here (second person, thus against the rules here) for Doctor Who fans... General Fic Notes: This is applicable for the vast majority of my stories to give you an idea of the sort of things I write and don't write: Writing: I mostly write one-shots, though I do occasionally write chaptered stories. Most of what I write is genfic. I do not write explicit romance. I have, however, wrote stories that have implied, background romance. Occasionally I write crossovers. I try to keep these as realistic and in-character as possible that does not rely on the all too common 'immediate trust'. My writing style is variable. While I will try and stick with the narrative voice in a book series, more often than not I write in third person, though I have written in every other form before. Recently I have been experimenting with the suspense of present tense writing - however, this is not true for all of my stories; many of them are in past tense. I prefer to adapt my writing style for the story in question. Reading: I read a wide array of stories, so here's a very broad range of criteria I look for: Needs to have a good plot. Prefer genfic. I do, however, read romance stories provided there's a good plot behind it. Needs passable spelling and grammar. Nearly always needs to be longer than 10,000 words. Progress Report: (as of 08/07/09) Current Stories: Paradoxical finally has a few more story arcs plotted out (aka. how they integrate into the story; I want to run several arcs at a time to prevent boredom). Unfortunately they appear to have been lost in the death of my old computer. Chapter twelve is tentatively titled "Blast-Offs". Toeing the Line - I may have written myself into a hole with this one. I need to stop writing ideas off the top of my head - the last chapter sort of came out of nowhere (the story wants Danny to have his own plotline, which he never had initially). The Harry parts I'm sure of; it's the Danny parts that are questionable. New Stories: Chaptered: Untitled - Supernatural - A Stanford AU based on a divergent timeline - if Mary only died because she was in the wrong place at the wrong time, what would happen if she didn't go to Sam? Currently 203 words long. Also Untitled - Kingdom Hearts/D.Gray-Man - Sora is used to Heartless, but these things... they're something else. 168 words written. One-shots: Monster - D.Gray-Man - An Allen-centric one-shot, pre-series, about Mana becoming an akuma. Currently 600 words long. Churches - Supernatural - Pre-series, slight AU. Sam Winchester hates churches. About 300 words written. Car Trip - Supernatural - Sam and Dean moved around a lot in their youth, and here's a sample car trip of when they were younger. Pre-series. Weechesters. (Is that terminology right? o.O) Currently about 200 words written. Flicker - Supernatural - An AU. John can't deny it any longer. He'd have preferred to live in ignorance. Twilight Town Fic Collection: This gets its own section! These are actually ten mostly unconnected Kingdom Hearts stories exploring different ways of writing for a certain subset of characters. This is my collective name for them. They are most, though not all, based in Twilight Town (particularly the digital version of Twilight Town, which I'm interested in exploring). Most of them centre in some way around Roxas. They'll probably be posted separately. Keep an eye out! They're in different stages of plotting. The idea came to me when playing the early part of Kingdom Hearts 2. There are a lot of complications in writing stories of Nobodies. This, as a project, is looking into different ways of depicting Nobodies, seeing what works and what doesn't (so they may be drastically different in their depictions). Ditto with the characters within digital Twilight Town - very, very complicated to write about. Consider it an experiment, if you will. :) Facade - From having no heart at all to having a simulated heart, Roxas tries to understand the concept of friendship. Complete! Posted. Glitch - Roxas realises there are certain oddities with Twilight Town. Binary: Zero - Roxas is walking out of the script, and Hayner, Pence and Olette seem to be following him out. Binary: One - As Roxas' behaviour grows increasingly erratic, Hayner, Pence and Olette are worried. Shutter - Axel reflects. Overload - Riku supposes it would have been foolish to expect DiZ's plan to work without a hitch, but this is practically organised chaos. Revert - Something else is awakening, and Roxas is frightened. Artificial - It's ironic that introducing a being with no heart to a similar population seems to have awoken them. Depossess - Axel is always losing, but never finding, and it never bothered him until this moment. Mirror Image - AU. Roxas has to be human. He can think, and it'd be impractical otherwise... right? Compass - Everything he knows, he learned from the Organisation. It's somewhat difficult for Roxas to adjust. Fandoms I currently write in: (a lot) (occasionally) Fandoms I'm practically retired from: Let's see: I also do some beta-reading, which I'd like to think I'm better at than I am in my own stories, where my eyes tend to glaze over errors. I'm a Perfect Imagination beta reader. I also co-write three stories: two are in the Mediator fandom, and are called "Regrets" and "The Adventures of Kelly Prescott". These are on the account of DemonicBallerina. The first is a Paul POV fic which is presently very, very slow moving. The second is written in Kelly's POV and is very ditzy, and a complete parody. Basically, we decided to turn Kelly into a demon and throw in as many odd plot points that we could. For Fullmetal Alchemist, I co-write "Full Metal Big Brother", which is, again, a parody. The title comes from me saying it's like Big Brother, so we turned it into that: it's where people are acting on set as... themselves... and moving through a house as they do so. But the plot thickens... it's worth a read, really. It can be found on the account of picaropicara. I also occasionally help out with bits of Lunakatrina's stories - with quotes or plotting.
