new story, adventures in daycare, published!

adventures in daycare is an AU story with Lluvia and Gray. Jeez, two stories in one day? I'm on a roll. But I should study. Watch me go write that AU Lucy/Natsu story I want to write.

adventures in daycare AU. When Lluvia sent in a request for an extra hand to help around her daycare, she wasn't expecting to be sent a man with a penchant for stripping. 100-word drabbles detailing the awkward romantic adventures of two people who start off on the wrong foot.

Alternate summary: AU. In which Lluvia runs a daycare, Gray has to do community service for his run-in with public decency laws, and Lluvia does not fall in love with him at first sight. Slow romance written in 100-word drabbles.

1) No, I'm not back yet...but look! A peace offering. First story of the new year and first Lucy/Natsu story on FF.net!

dense: oneshot collection. Exceptionally talented and powerful, yes. Exceptionally observant or romantically inclined? No, not so much. Picture perfect moments that aren't so perfect when certain, exceptionally dense mages fail to make a move. One: Lucy has certain expectations and needs that are neither met nor satisfied.

2) Fairy Tail canon will be ignored in my stories from here on out unless otherwise stated.

This mainly applies to of steps, twists, and turns, which is honestly extremely irritating to me because I had hoped to keep it slightly in line with canon...and because that means now I have to create an entirely new main storyline to base ostt off of, which does not make for me a happy camper. I don't know why Mashima had to muck everything up with a seven year timeskip. Honestly.

3) I'm curious to know what you, my beloved readers, want to see more of first. If you would PM me to say that you want to see the AUs (the dating rules or in which there is matchmaking) posted before I update anything, that would be greatly appreciated. And if you would be so kind as to review the story you want updated and just say that this story has your vote...you could PM me, too, but it'll be easier for me to keep count if you review it...because I am lazy and I would rather go to each story and count the votes then check every PM.

I'd also like to announce that I'll be putting my stories on hold temporarily. I have every intention of finishing them! I'm just currently struggling to balance my school and personal work/life and have responsibilities piled on. I'm probably going to be spinning out stuff here and there over my breaks, but I don't want to guarantee anything until mid-January, of 2012. So if I don't see you until then...happy new year! :)

I'm on a bit of a roll, I suppose to make up for my extremely extended absence! In other news, I'm working on the words, in which there is matchmaking (because I still haven't gotten the first chapter up!), of steps, twists, and turns, AND I'm starting the dating rules (summary below), which will be a longer story like I'm planning for in which there is matchmaking. I also want to write a Tangled story today! All this and I'm about to return to school and need to work on other things...my priorities are so straight.

what to expect: I probably won't update soon unless it's the words, because I want to get in which there is matchmaking and the dating rules going. (I think iwtim is going to be first, though.)

matchmaking is (as I state below) an ensemble AU story. The "focus" is levy/gazille, but as you can tell from the summary, I'm planning for a lot of appearances from the other characters!

--chapter one: the ones who start it all

the dating rules: lucy/natsu, AU (because as my first OTP from fairy tail, they've yet to make a real appearance in my stories!)

Lucy has been in a grand total of one relationship in her whole life, which ended up being, with her luck, a complete train wreck. She’s not out to get back into the dating game, seeing as she’s got no idea how to play the field, but when she moves to take a sabbatical from life (not that she’s running away), her ridiculously roguishly charming, handsome neighbor manages to drag her back in, headfirst. He’s not quite like anyone she’s ever met, but he’s a sight nicer than her ex and decides to help her out with learning the dating rules.

That doesn't really sound like Natsu, right? But keep in mind that this is from Lucy's perspective after getting out of a relationship with a complete tosser.

As you know, I have entered the fairy tail fandom. So here are some ideas with tentative titles:

all the in betweens: lucy/natsu, levy/gazille, lluvia/gray and others; a series of oneshots/drabbles structured just like of steps, twists, and turns except for multiple pairings and less about relationship development than just the moments. maybe.

in which there is matchmaking; ensemble fic: What a small world. Lucy and Levy are best friends, Gazille works for Lucy and is best friends with Lluvia, who is with Gray, who is best frenemies with Natsu, whose cousin is Erza, who is Levy’s boss and is engaged to Lucy’s business partner. Who is Lucy’s business partner again?

BAHAHA MAJOR CRACK PAIRING THERE.

As for the Tangled fandom, which I hope to enter soon:

the afters: because I really, really, really want to know what happens next in Rapunzel's and Eugene's story. Slice-of-life style. Possibly including moments during the main adventure?

general note: No, I will not be putting capitals in any of my future story titles. Why? It's a stylistic/OCD thing. I also want to use it as a way to really differentiate from my past stories. I know it's a turn off, but, I mean...I'll just refer you to some of my Naruto fandom heroes, the blanket and ohwhatsherface, who also do it and are respected authors; there are others, too. *01-05-12 edit: I did cave and revert my penname back to capitalized Winter Thunder...my return to school is clearly having an impact on me. :P
