NOTE TO READERS: Not on PURPOSE but on accident...I've arranged my summer writing schedule to center almost ENTIRELY on the fan-fic Callisto Hime and I do together (I am Jr. Co-Author). If this past week and a half since school released is any indicator...I won't be writing much else this summer. =O I hope to prove myself wrong in this, but who knows? Something might inspire me to work on both at the same time! But literally, other than responsibilities and some minimum friend time, Summer so far has been working from Among the Ashes from when I wake to when I sleep (slash responding to reader comments...but that's an important part, too!). So, as a result, my own fics are being neglected...I apologize. I'll try to balance it better, now that Chapter 16 (which was over 107 pages!!) is complete. =)

My favorite thing ever in fanfiction: when a character/characters/themes/settings are explored and developed realistically in writing, beyond what was explained in the original world. I like funny fluff as well, but it doesn't draw me in like real in-depth or novel-length works do. Best is when they're combined.

Foreigner: CHAPTER FIVE IS COMPLETE! Today (3/4/2008) I have submitted it to ffnet and DA! Chapter Six in progress, but very slow.

Simon's Tale: Life is awfully busy - so expect an update this summer and no earlier.

My Zelda Fan-Fic: I've mentioned I have had a concept for a LoZ fic. I've finally begun work on it, just a very little bit. No worries, I shall continue prioritizing Foreigner! This one will wait.

I shan't give too much away...but the general premise of my story is this:

It is not long after the goddesses' creation of the world. The doors to the Sacred Realm are wide open. The Triforce remains whole and untouched. A thief, a princess, and a hero walk the lands of Hyrule - for the first time in any legend.

Oneshot/Short Story Concepts: I'm sure I'll write these someday...I have several "The Last Unicorn" ideas; one features Molly Grue's past, ending with her famous line upon meeting the unicorn; one of them features the unicorn Nikos the magician had turned into a man, who remained a man. Also a Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time oneshot from the Deku Tree's POV. Update: Molly Grue's oneshot now in progress!

My Views on fanfiction:

I Don't Like: descriptions/scenes of sex - give the characters their privacy! - and I definitely advocate no premarital sex at all. I also dislike cussing and gory violence (NOT to be confused with action with injury). These things make me uncomfortable, and they lower the quality of a work of fiction.

My Favorite Fandoms: Legend of Zelda, Avatar: the Last Airbender, Harry Potter, Sevenwaters Trilogy, FFVIII and FFX, The Last Unicorn, Animorphs...I'm sure there are more.

Shipping: I generally prefer whichever couple is canon or most likely in canon (HeeroxRelena, RachelxTobias, RonxHermione), but am open-minded about other pairings. Specifically in those still left "open-ended," I support (Avatar) Zutara, Kataang, (Zelda) Zelink, one-sided Malink (guess which side). I am also in love with the romance of Lir and Amalthea from The Last Unicorn. Lir and LoZ's Link have incredible parallels between them.

In any fandom, I will never like, write, edit for or read slash/yaoi/homosexuality, even if the story is very good. Sorry, but that's where my line is!

Except for the above, my shipping preferences will never affect how or whom I beta for. I can and do see the beauty of every ship, whether it's "mine" or not...I'm really quite laid back about it.

Beta-ing

I am currently beta-ing for AkaVertigo's "Cauda Pavonis," BornaHorse+'s future chapters of "An Aberrant Proposal," TobuIshi+'s yet-unpublished Avatar fic, Sirianna89+'s yet-unpublished Zelda fic, and quidditch-nut+'s yet-unpublished Avatar fic.

I also began as a beta for Callisto Hime's "Among the Ashes," though she has officially named me "Junior Co-Author" now (after almost a year of working together and becoming more and more involved - wow, time flies!). Now I contribute a lot to event and plot working out, as well as even some dialogue (but Chrissy always writes it, as it's her story. =3). I'm very proud to be a part of Callisto Hime's work, though she has written a lot before I became involved. At this time we are also going through and reworking the original "Time Cannot Erase" - a Loz:OoT/Fire Emblem crossover. It is a magnificent novel.

Other than Foreigner, most of my fan-fic involvement is with beta-ing.
