Basics:
I am Xeal. If you want to talk to me, PM me and I'll send you info, AIM, email, etc... I keep it off here so it's not Googled, thus preserving my anonymity and keeping this place rather unknown.
Here are a few facts I can disclose safely:
I'm Male.
Age: 27
Occupation: Senior Graphic Designer, Trance Disc Jockey
Location: Tampa, Florida, USA
The rest will have to stay unknown to keep it away from the almighty Google. Seriously, too many people would recognize me otherwise.
My Style:
Generally speaking, my writing style is very dark and brooding, filled with descriptive imagery and sometimes bereft of dialogue. Often at the beginning of each work or chapter, I will insert a quote that has some relevance to the story, helping to set the tone of the words to follow. It also bears mentioning that my work tends to be highly charged emotionally, both positive and negative. That is a bit of irony since anyone who knows me in the real world would tend to think I have about as much emotion as a block of ice. I usually write in third person, but have been known to do first person pieces on rare occasion, usually when I feel a strong connection to the story in question. Many of my pieces are written stream-of-consciousness style and thus might be seen as overly descriptive and slightly chaotic... But I firmly believe that I write my best work this way.
I'm not a shipper, per se, but my work carries obvious preferences for particular pairings.
Current Projects:
Of Machines and Men: Just finished, though I'm still typo-hunting :). I'm quite pleased with how this story turned out, even though its about three times as long as I originally thought it would be. Oh well. It's a very John/Cameron centric fic with a fair amount of action in the second half.
Currently, chapter 7 of The Final Case is on hiatus. Don't worry, I'm not abandoning the project.
Reshaping Destiny: Though this story will stand on its own just fine, it is something of a collaboration with Alantie Mistaniu. We are writing two separate stories that are connected; part of the same overall storyline. The concept is a very simple what if question: what would have happened if Cloud had held together a little more when Sephiroth came to kill Aerith? What if Cloud had been able to save her at terrible cost to himself? You may enjoy this if you've wanted to see Aerith become a little... darker. Chapters 1 and 2 are up...
