An extra note- 8/10/05

Alright, so there's around seven chapters of Predictability left for me to write... which is coming along well enough. I'm hoping to finish it by February, April at latest. I know- not very promising- but knowing me and my infrequent updates, it's the most I can promise.

In the meantime, I've been struck with several Harry/Ginny plot bunnies that you can find in drabble form over at my livejournal, a few of which I'm posting here. Read and review.

Featured Favorite Fic of the Month

Erm, it suddenly occured to me that I never properly introduced this, did I? Basically, I randomly choose a fic that I've read and enjoyed enough to feature it here... in my profile. Mostly they'll be short, 1-4 chapter ficlets, but I will post the occasional novel on here. I prefer not to link to anything unfinished, though a work of sheer genius in the making will most certainly make the list, should I come across one. The ships may vary, from the classic ships to some OC/OC or others... all will, of course, be from the HP fandom. The Eyebrow Incident, by She's a Star

Alright, so this is second fic by She's a Star that I'm recommending, but if you're looking for some post-HBP Ron/Hermione fluff, by all means, this is a beautiful fic. As usual, there's humor, a completely lovable Ron, and the apparition test.

Recalling, by Scout

An absolutely beautiful Ron/Hermione fic. It may or may not fit in with the new canon, I'm not quite sure, but it's just so gorgeously written, it doesn't even matter. The writitng style is just... eurgh. I fell in love with this one. Very heartfelt.

Predictability

Lily Evans, in her seventh year at Hogwarts, comes to terms with life, love, and herself, deals with hardships with her own special brand of humor and sarcasm, and learns a few valuable lessons along the way. James Potter, in his senior year at Hogwarts as well, slowly begins to understand life and it's expectations, the way the world spins, and the weight of the heavy decisions on his shoulders. The two share laughter, tears, hopes, friendships, and obstacles thrown in their paths as their lives become imperceptively entwined together. View life from their eyes, their best moments, their not-so-great moments, and somewhere inbetween, you'll find the subtle charm in the... predictability of it all. My personal favorite, so why don't you give it a look?

Perfect Prefects... Or Not During their sixth year at Hogwarts, Lily and James work together as Prefects on a project involving business skills in the muggle world. Conflicting views of theirs both bring business up and down... Perhaps focusing on something else will help? Like, for instance, the bizarre powers Lily is capable of? Mmm. Not my best work, I can tell you that much.

A Christmas Carol An interesting rewrite of Dickens's Christmas classic. The stingy, lonely, twenty-one year old James Potter is visited by three spirits on Christmas Eve, in hopes to redeem his soul. He is forced to view himself as a child, always unwanted at home, when Lily left him on Christmas Eve just two years ago, how his secretary spends her Christmas, and the inevitable death he will meet, to name a few things. And then, on Christmas morning, what sort of lasting effect will this lay upon him? Mmmmmmmmmmffffff... I don't know about this one. Not bad, I suppose. People have said that I combined J.K. Rowling and Charles Dickens's styles perfectly. Decide for yourself.

~A Little Ditty About Wonderful, Magical Me~

Er... hello. I'm a rather boring person, now that I think of it, who discovered her true calling to the world of writing somewhere during a phase of some reallyhorrid poetry... Looking back at some of my other fics, there's probably some really cruddy writing in general, besides just the utter cringe-worthiness of some of them. Besides that, I'm just your average struggling writer (yes, I'm struggling...but perhaps not in the classic Dickens sense... more like struggling to survive getting to theage of twenty, what with the pratfalls of the teenage years and all that jazz...) and am constantly writing random ficlets of L/J fluff that I don't commonly put up here as I just write them when I suffer from Predictability writer's block... Like that doesn't happen very often. ;) So... Excluding all extraneous/personal information, whatever you managed to gather from that rambling, run-on sentence is pretty much all there is to know. Oh, and I support the following ships: Harry/Ginny, Draco/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, Lily/James, and Snape/Sinistra, though I'm willing to read pretty much anything as long as it's well written.

Oh, check out some of the fics in my favorites list... a compilation mostly made up of L/J fics, though you'll find on occasional other ship there (i.e, Snape/Sinistra, Harry/Ginny, Draco/Ginny, Hermione/Ron).
