A rider on a black and white paint pony gallops through Heyes's and Curry's camp scattering their breakfast and nearly killing Curry. Matt comes up and gives his own supplies to them. They hear a gunshot and go in that direction seeing Matt's horse down and Matt trapped under it. They take Matt to Dodge. Then stay on as deputies to help find the man who wants Matt Dead.

A stranger comes to Heyes and the Kid's aid when things go wrong whilst evading another posse.

Hannibal Heyes and Kid Curry are still trying to go straight. Maybe Quake City, California, home of the Apple Dumpling Gang, wasn't the best place to try.

After a mission, Lt. Col. Hannibal Smith has some family business to attend to.
