Consider the following: A scenario that starts out like something out of SIRP or the ep 26 AU, but gradually shifts into something eerier and gloomier, more and more like the original series. Something like middle earth's fading in reserve. Instead of the great & epic mournfully leaving behind the mundane, it is an alienating, confusing "weirdening" of the world. Tragic ReiShin.

Fifteen years after Second Impact, the world is in deep conflict.
