I've been writing fanfiction for about two years now, and reading it for a lot longer than that... As a beta reader, I do my best to correct grammatical and spelling errors, but I also focus on the style, tone, and flow of a story. As long as the author wants me to, I'll gladly provide my input on all of the above. :)

I am usually very thorough when proofreading someone else's work, and I reliably detect typos and similar errors. I also think I've got a good eye for IC/OOC issues, and I've got some medical background knowledge (might be relevant for House MD fics...).

English is not my first language, so I might not be familiar with all the phrases and expressions used in a story. If you consider asking me to beta-read a German fic, you need to know that I usually watch TV shows (and particularly House MD) in OV, so I'm not really familiar with typical dialogs etc in the dubbed German version...

I usually like to write hurt/comfort and friendship fics, mostly with a touch of angst, so that would be familiar ground for me to beta-read as well...

No major character death please... Also, supernatural stories, cross-overs, and parodies are not exactly my cup of tea.
