I am both a long-time fanfiction writer and an agent of the PPC (under the name Agent Tomato) and have consistently gotten high A's in English through high school. As far as my style goes, I tend to nitpick over little things, but I try to be as polite as possible when doing so. I never give criticism without suggesting a way of fixing the problem.

I expect that you have at least run your fic through spellcheck before sending it to me. I also expect that you have run your original characters, if any, through a Mary-Sue Litmus Test. (I can give you a link, if you want one.) Show me that you've put some effort into your story. Oh, and I expect you're familiar with the canon.

Canon details, grammar and spelling, languages (Latin, French, and Sindarin), dialogue. I am unmerciful when it comes to Mary-Sues.
I am up-to-date on the current series of Doctor Who, and have extensive knowledge of Classic Who (particularly the Fifth and Seventh Doctors). I have read the Silmarillion.

Britpicking (I'm American), any languages not listed above, serious romance

I'm particularly fond of anything with a complicated plot, but I'll beta oneshots too. I'm fine with slash and femslash as well as het and gen, though I prefer there to be a point to the plot besides the romance.
