|Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm pretty much o.k. with anything that I read. I only ask that you not send me stories that were written as though you were "on magic mushrooms" or something that's low quality and ridiculous (crackfics that's it). Other than that I'll be glad to lend out my services.
|My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm definitely getting better in all of my areas of writing but I would have to say that I'm best at sensory and descriptive writing. Most of my writings are one shots or something long and extensive because I enjoy writing and reading something with a well developed plot line. I can help connect events, ease tranistions, and help with organization. I'm also starting to look into poetry more and would enjoying reading your different styles. I'm really good with minor stuff too such as creative titles for stories or a little line in a paragraph.
|My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
As a writer I tend to go for the dying themes; things that most people don't read other than the ones still clinging desperately to hope. However my skills are getting better in writing and recognizing detail in a story and where you want to go with a story (many thanks to my Enligsh classes). I've developed my taste in writing and reading and I feel that reading different styles of work will greatly benefit the both of us.
|Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I would prefer to read poems, one-shots, and something with a good plot line. I enjoy one shots because they can be very detail oriented and they can do so much even though they're only about a page long. Poems are something that I'm certianly getting into and I can really help with imagery and putting what you want in the person's mind with only a few words. However I feel that with all stories a formative plot line is what cam make or break your story. All of the descriptive words in the world can't do a thing if they aren't used with a quality story line. If you have an idea and can't think of a direction to go in then I can help with that.
|Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Stories without much detail, clear intention or topic, or a devloped plot line are ones that I will not look at. Something that's clearly a joke, I will not take the time to read.
