Beta Description
Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I only write for fandoms where I am up-to-date and have seen every episode of the show, so that means I am very picky about the characters and other things related to the show (unless it is an AU- Alternative Universe).

I expect decent spelling and grammar, an interesting and working plot/story line and good OC's if your story is featuring one. I will be brutally honest with you about things I read so if you don't think you can take that type of constructive critism then don't pick me.

I am Scottish (my first language) so I use English (UK) spelling but that I can easily change for English (US) so I'll except them as well. I can also speak French although it is a bit rusty so I would only accept fic that are mainly English with hints of it in them. Spanish is another lanuage I am familiar with but not as much as French so again, I will only accept fics that are English with hints of the language in it.

I mainly working on the TV Shows I have listed on my Beta Profile but I do have a few Movies which I could help with.

I am continually working on my story writing skills everyday.

My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I specialise in canon and general characterisation when it comes to shows. I can also help make a fic plot work and flow, I can give ideas as well.

With the charcters I like to look at the situation from their point of view so I get a sense of how they're feeling and what they're thinking.

Fic ideas, like with my own stories I usually come up with an idea and as the plot thickens I get 3 or 4 different paths to take the story, so I can help you in that way if your fic is still a WIP (work in progress).

I also work alot with author techniques (metaphors, similies, setting, etc.).

My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
My grammar and spelling are not as good as I want them to be so I am working that. Also tenses and POV changes can be a bit confusing.

I am not bad at these points, I'm just not as good with them as other beta's so if your looking for a grammar nut then you may want to consider another beta.

Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I like almost all the types of fic out there but especially like romance stories (slash mainly, then het, femslash and incest depends, whatever) and drama fics, anything really though. Kinks,PWP, smut...

I will beta all types of stories as long as the genre of fics that are list in my 'Not My Cup Of Tea' catergory are kept to a minimum.

Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Mary-Sue fics are a big NO as I dispise most of them characters in stories especailly when the story is good (Mary-Sue fics, my definition, are where a OC is brought in just to fall for a main character). I have just read to many of them and they ruin stories. I am not opposed to OC's though.

Song and poem fics I don't like so much but I would still beta as long as it's only 1 or 2. Some supernatural fics where the show hasn't got a supernatural theme I am not too into but, again, I still would beta.

NO MPREG at all. I don't know why but I just can't read it.
