I tend to beta-read slowly. It takes me a bit and I really, really, really get hung up on things like grammar and spelling so if that's not your #1 (or 2, 3, 4) concern I'm not sure I'm the right betareader for you. I tend to be overtly critical or the direct opposite, no middle ground per se. My expectations: completed chapter and a willingness to take constructive criticism.

Spelling, grammar, all that stuff is my forte, plus just seeing how things mesh. I tend to look at stories reverse-objectively-like, if I had written this would I want it to go out into the world in this current incarnation? This helps me to help you more effectively.

Overtly critical at times...plus, like I said, slow. Maybe a week?

Romance, humor, parody if you're talking genre-wise. Cross all three and you've got a perfect story in my opinion.

Anything with the usual pedophilia, bestiality, etc. Oh, and I really don't like stories with over twenty-five chapters.
