Beta Description
Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am usually (not to brag) quite good at catching grammar and spelling errors, I leave plenty of room for creative interpretations of things, as well. I write, read, and edit all of the time, so Beta-ing seems like something I might be rather efficient with. I'm open-minded to pretty much any kind of story, but I prefer those with real plotlines (whether they are thin, thick, streamline/cliché, or complicated; that part doesn't matter too much to me). I get done working with things faster if they have /

[[Not sure if that's the kind of description asked for, here...oh well.]]

My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm into the imaginative stuff and love reading over other people's work, whether they are triumphs in fanfiction or complete flops. I catch most grammar and spelling errors rather quickly, be they in my own writing or in someone else's. I use a critical eye, but it's almost always constructive criticism that I give.
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I frequently get bored or stuck with my own writing. I can't keep going on one story for too long. (Otherwise I'll turn into a brainless fan-zombie. Nobody likes those things. They're hard to kill, unless you have a flamethrower and some cucumber slices.) I keep all of my ideas in my head and, when they come out on paper, they come out slowly and in a scrambled mess that takes a long time to put back together. I'm organized in a strange way, but it all usually works out in the end.
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I love suspense stuff, supernatural pieces (not the tv series, the genre), and prefer not to work with cliché, dialogue-less (or description-less) fluff. I don't have any preferences about slash- vs non-slash stories. I love stories with crazy plots, twists and turns, conflict, angst, character development, drama, etc., but I can pretty much "Beta" anything that that can be followed, beginning to end.
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Heh. Fluff and cliché things, unless (don't be humble, now) you think there are a few good one-liners or some nice moments that you'd like someone (a Beta reader) to look over for you. The intense slash isn't exactly my cup of tea, as fanfiction so kindly put it, but if you think I'd do well with what I've said in the past few paragraphs, then I most certainly will do my best for you.
