|Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I have read lots of sci-fi fantasy books and can help with fanfics of many different sources... some authors I have read include (in no particular order): Rodger Zelazny, Diane Duane, Anne Mccaffrey, Christopher Paolini, Brandon Sanderson, Robert Jordan, J. K. Rowling, J. R. R. Tolkien, Stephenie Meyer, Orson Scott Card, Garth Nix, David Eddings, Frank Herbert, Isaac Asimov, Eoin Colfer, Douglas Adams, Peter V. Brett, Brent Weeks, John Flanagan, Neil Gaimon, Rick Riordan... I put these on so that if the author of the story you are writing a fanfic of is one of these you can know that I have likely read it too.
|My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am very good with spelling and word choice, also I am excellent at detecting inconsistencies either between the fanfic and the original author's work or within the fanfic itself. Also I love developing the ity-grity details of how magic functions in stories.
|My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Grammar and sentence structure. Also I tend not to be much help if your looking for plot tips, but as the writer that should be your department.
|Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
SciFi, Fantasy, action, adventure, and supernatural are the main genres I will be capable and willing to help with. Also I find the idea of magic very interesting and I will read (have read) stories just to get the authors ideas about magic... so because of that I like to think myself an expert on the different types of magic, so if your story includes a new magic you can bet I will want to read it.
|Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
I am really only an action adventure sort of person, so if your story is romance, angst, mystery, parody, poetry, spiritual, tragedy, western, suspense, horror... anything but scifi, fantasy, action, adventure and I am not likely to be much help at all
