|Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am the kind of girl that likes drama, with a side of funny / witty. I am I stickler for grammar and spelling, and am always on the lookout to change the way one words things to make it more understandable to the average person. I am, after all, an average girl, so if I can get it, then everyone else should be able to, too!
|My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Like I said in my bio, I am a stickler for grammar and spelling, and the way people word things. I might tell you it's all good, or I might tell you an entire chapter needs to be re-written. If your plot requires a character to go decidedly OUT of character, then I will make sure it is tastefully done. And if something doesn't mesh right with your plot, say, something was said in an earlier chapter that doesn't add up when it was resolved, you will hear it.
|My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I tend to read for overall enjoyment, not so much trying to catch plot twists or overanalyze a story. If the story is upfront and good, then I'm good. A little suspense, then a reveal, grand. Plot twist that-it-wasn't-him-it-was-her-aunts-second-cousin's-daughters-son? SCARY.
|Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I tend to like fanfic's of my preferred shows or genres, but if you think you have an original story that you'd like me to read for you, by all means, please feel free to contact me. For original stories, I tend to like fantasy, magical, swashbuckling type of books, with the romance and teenage angst sprinkled on top. For fanfiction, I prefer to read things in the veins of Gundam Wing, Doctor Who, BBC Sherlock, Torchwood... among many other books, shows, and things it would be obscene to list in here right now. Please ask me if you want to know.
Big note- I am no stranger to smut, lemons, etc etc, so please don't feel embarrassed by asking me to read them over.
|Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
I'm all about Love is Love. I'm big into yaoi, and am fine with hetero, but when it comes to yuri (translation: girl on girl) I am not comfortable with reading about it. Just not my cup of tea, no?
