|Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Hm, well, whenever I read a story and I see something that needs to be corrected, I suppose I correct it in my head before I can move on to the next line and so on and so forth. I don't think I have any expectations other than the reader do their best on the stories that they are working on. If I can correct the story because someone asked me to, I suppose I would do my very hardest not to let them down and I would try to correct everything wrong with it. Thank you for reading and considering.
|My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Hmm, well, I suppose that if I see a word spelled incorrectly or just using the wrong form for the word (i.e. see, sea, knot, not, night, knight, their, there, they're, two, two, scents, sense, since, cents) things like that I get the very strong urge to correct it. Or if the wording for a sentence looks wrong, or if you use the same words a couple times in one sentence, I hate doing that and I really dislike other's doing it as well because sometimes it just looks very strange, so I try, keyword is try, to not do it very much. Oh, I suppose that's it for me on my strengths. Thank you for reading and considering.
|My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Oh, well, a lot of times I can make the simplest of mistakes and just not notice it till someone points it out to me. Also, sometimes I can get a little too excited when I write which leads me to not write a word or two and skip right over them. That can be ever so annoying sometimes. Um, I'm sure that I have more but I honestly can't think of any more, so thank you for reading and considering.
|Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
Stories that I prefer are those that are humor, family, romance, I can take suspense sometimes and mystery as well, I adore a good mystery. Ah yes, I do read drama's as well, but not very many because they can often hurt very much, that's why I like to read stories with another genre that can overshadow the drama and sadness in the story. Oh, I do suppose I like action and adventure stories as well, they can be so very amazing at times.
|Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Well, for stories that aren't my cup of tea, those are stories that are very dramatic and angst filled, not to mention tragic and horror. My heart seems to be very weak and I feel such terrible sadness for the story. I'm sure that most likely most people feel that way, but I just can't take the sadness in those types of stories very well, it breaks my heart quite a bit each time I do read something with those types of stories. Of course, if the stories are well thought out and the plots clear to me, I am positive I could read it, I'd just have to harden my heart a bit.
