Beta Description
Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Let me think...I like reading, writing, and editing other people's work. I see beta-reading as a way to improve my own writing and help someone else perfect their works. I generally will accept anything I'm familiar with. And if I'm not familiar with it, I'll just read the Wikipedia article and some other fanfics from that category to catch up. My style is mostly jus editing your story and highlighting the changes, and then writing out any other notes at the bottom. This may change though, and I'm pretty flexible, so just let me know f you don't like it. I might come across as kind of harsh and impersonal, though, so please don't take it personally.
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
My strongest points would have to be...grammar, spelling, and a large vocabulary. I'm a grammar nazi.
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
A couple things. For one, I'm a perfectionist, so nothing is ever good enough for me. I have to force myself to stop editing and just post, or I'll never stop. I also have trouble with paragraphing. Characterization and editing a persons work from a creative standpoint is also kind of difficult, but not to the point where it will make me useless.

And like I said before, I'm a grammar nazi, so...feel free to tell me to back off.

Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
Not really. So long as it has a plot and separate paragraphs, I'm happy.
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Blatant, plotless, pointless romance. And vampires. So if you fancy yourself the next Stephanie Meyer, don't bother asking me. I also don't really like horror, or drama, or western. I just don't get it. And general, because it confuses me-what exactly falls under 'general?' However, if a story is really good, or in some cases, is paired with another genre, I'll read it. Even-shudder-blatant, over done romance. So if you really think your story is good, despite falling into these categories, feel free to ask.

I also will NOT do lemons. But anything else is fine.
