|Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Hi there! Well I do not really enjoy correcting grammar nor spelling, but if you want me to give it a quick look, just let me know and I'll give you my feedback, beware I might miss some things, but the obvious or most bothering mistakes I will point out. Just PM me and we'll arrange something. Now, my normal feedback will be mostly about the story itself, whether it is moving too fast, you're missing some points. In a few words I will comment about the story itself, not so much the commas. If you welcome suggestions I'll be happy to give you some tips here or there. Contact me via PM
|My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
As you read before, I focus on the story itself, drafts or whatever you want me to check out. I will let you know if you need to focus on certain aspects to provide a better background for your story, etc.
|My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I'm not that good spotting grammar, spelling nor syntax errors, so please don't rely on me regarding those areas, of course I'll point out some mistakes here and there, but not all of them.
|Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
As long as there are no Mary Sues intended, I'm in. I like working with Harry Potter fanfiction, there, I said it. But below, this thing shows the categories I will work with. I love it when the author has in mind the whole human complex, meaning, when a story isn't just black and white, and the characters aren't boldly good or evil. I will most probably point out certain aspects of a character or story that seem plain to me, but of course that will be after three or four chapters when the characters are developing with the story.
|Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Here we go. If you plan on writing something with Mary Sue as your main character, then I'm out. Mary Sue is a term for those perfect goody characters. Anything involving twilight... I don't like it, never have, never will. If you're trying to make a crossover where everyone stays happily ever after, I will most definitely decline, because I understand it is a good idea to maybe merge a bit of one story with another, but I don't like it when authors use the cross overs to fix every single trouble or complication in the original stories and make a perfect happily ever after story, it is not that I don't like cross overs, but it is really hard to make them work nicely.
