As a beta-reader I will, to the best of my abilities, proof-read, edit when necessary (notifying when and where when I do so), and encourage/give input. I don't expect the author to use all of my suggestions. I think that a beta-reader is not only a second pair of eyes, but also somewhat of a support system to the writer. I would prefer to have active communication with the author. I think that the more I get to know the author, the better I am able to help them with their story.

I always try to have a good flow to my sentences and stories. I like to let the characters lead me as a writer, instead of leading them out of character. I am very emotionally driven in my writing. I use real-life situations to influence the way I write, or to create scenes. I"m very good at giving constructive criticism gently. I am usually pretty good at being gentle with things that need to be fixed. I am EXTREMELY knowledgeable in the Potter-verse.

I am human, so I will not be able to catch 100% of your mistakes. I will need some time to go over submitted writing (probably 24-48 hours). I will do my best to be timely, but I am a wife and mother, so things can get crazy. If i'm going to take longer than normal you will be notified.

I would prefer to read over stories in the Sherlock, Doctor Who, or Harry Potter fandoms. I may beta-read for something else if the fancy strikes me.

No Johnlock requests, please. As a general (and firm) rule, I don't read/beta slash fiction. Also, no Ron/Hermione business. It just makes me annoyed. Other than that, if you think you'd like me for a beta, send me a request. I'll let you know if I don't think it's a good fit.
