A dangerous agent of Winter turns up injured and all signs point to a deadly assassin to blame for all of it. Molly must go toe to toe with an old friend turned foe...and try not to die in the process.

Harry has a full day of domestic responsibilities. Mab needs him elsewhere, and has little choice but to fulfill Harry's...obligations... for the entire day.

Mab was many things; apathetic, dangerous, unscrupulous, ruthless, selfish, self-absorbed, greedy, mad-as-a-March-Hare and many, many more. Too many to list without the assistance of a complete steno-pool. Without much thought one could call up 2 or 3 names for her no matter how large the list is, but loving and devoted mother was never going to be added to the list.

Set a few weeks after the War for Chicago, Molly is struggling to handle her duties as the Winter Lady with two things weighing her down. As the stress mounts, Molly receives a mysterious visitor who just might hold the solution to at least one of her problems.

It's been a week since half of Chicago was leveled in a massive war. But now Harry turns his attention to a certain fiancé named Lara Raith. He's got a request, and it might just catch her by surprise.
