The peace has been shaken throughout the boroughs of the city. Innocent newsies have been attacked by their old allies from Queens over a misunderstanding between leaders. Trust continues to be broken and suspicion is on the rise, creating barriers between even the oldest of friends. Can the courage of an unlikely hero smooth things over before warfare ensues between them all?

When a dark secret falls into the wrong hands, difficult and irreversible choices are made. However, it is quickly discovered that these choices breed their own secrets and consequences. For a pair of newsboys, the questions of right and wrong, good and evil are more than just everyday moral duality, they become life itself.

At 15, Jack Kelly serves 50 days in Randall's Island's House of Refuge. Amidst strict rules, he meets new friends, learns life lessons, and escapes, becoming the strike leader he is in 1899.

It's the end of summer, Mayer's arm is better, and David has to hold up his end of the deal, it's time to go back to school. It's no surprise he doesn't want to go back after the best summer of his life. David isn't sure exactly, how to bridge the gap between those two worlds, that of books and bowties versus independence and acceptance. The newsies will always have his back though
