Freedom wasn't half as glorious or exciting as Shilo dreamt it would be. It was yet another hard pill for her to swallow. But after 17 years of her father's poisoned medication, it wasn't like she wasn't used to it. But there was still one way for her to be free, and that way had never let her down before... So long as she still had the freedom to write, anything was possible.

Mag visits the Wallaces to give Shilo some gifts; she's missed her birthday while on tour and makes up for it in ten-fold.

Realizing how much the songbird means to his daughter, Nathan goes to see Mag. He hopes to convince her to leave, but things turn out differently and not at all how he's planned.

Mag finds herself alone and in mourning. Companionship finds her in the most unlikely of places and in the strangest of forms.

Even though it's been almost 17 years, Mag has still been unable to forget. All she can think about, and cry for, is Marni and Shilo. She still remembers them, and grieves for them. After all this time, nothing stops the memories. Despite the darkness in her life now, Mag still remembers the morning that used to be, so in mourning still is she.

Rotti sits alone in his office, grinning with a chilling malice. It pleases him that he is so powerful and revered. It pleases him that his deceit has spread across the world like a spider's web. But most of all, it pleases Rotti that his name alone can strike terror into any heart that still beats! His fingers spread across the globe like spider legs, ensnaring anything they can.

Basically a fanfic version of the deleted scene from the movie.
