ah lovely phil! she's the best -it's so funny, she annoyed the socks off me when i read her, but oh she is such a joy to write! this was lovely. i loved the way she waited patiently at anne's door for just a moment and then no more -just like phil. i liked your description of her as the kind of friend who could impose herself on others but was loved for it anyway -so phil!

that was some seriously lovely writing - i haven't been so excited since i discovered the three chapters laurie1 wrote about gilbert (and when i realised she gave it up ten years ago i howled) whatever you do, don't stop. i kind of wish it didn't get resolved so quickly, but the last chapter was brilliantly done.

wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow. i nearly wet my pants -this was so utterly wow! i couldn't stop reading, i was just dragged along and i never wanted it to end! thank you so much. this was gorgeous. you explained it all their feeling so swiftly and believably, and i really thought anne was going to accept roy -not for it to be just a plot device for the tension factor, and i was screaming nooooo, even while i know they end up together! tell me you've seen joe wright's p&p, because your scene was just as superb and tense and hot as that scene lizzie and darcy have in the rain! oh but it was anne and gil who were there which was even better! it was wonderful. thanks again.

That is right, sometimes it simply has to work with the story! I always believed (still do) that Gil was her first kiss, but in your story it is fitting that she has Roy’s kiss as comparison! :) You described this kiss in such a way that I had butterflies myself! And Anne’s epiphany of what passion was - truly beautiful!

Now that’s what’s called a cliffhanger! The tension was graspable with every word you used, it was a pleasure to read. And the funny thing is that I myself always thought that if Gil would have simply crossed the line once and kissed her, she wouldn’t have been able to deny her feelings any longer. So I’m in suspense how Anne will react :)
