I also found this because of a recommendation at the WIKTT list. And I am so very glad I followed up on it. I find this variation of "young Snape" plot device wonderfully original, and exceedingly well characterized. You've given us a very "real" feeling boy out of the man we know from canon, and his reactions to the things that have happened make utter sense. I've read all seven chapters in one sitting and am definitely eager to see chapter eight!

My favorite part? I just can't say... There are so many. I have to admit the bit where he ends up on Voldemort's lap with his arms around the Darklord gave me chills. You've done an excellent job of making Voldemort someone to really fear. Too many authors end up having him be a ludicrous megalomanic but don't support how powerful he would HAVE to be to have terrorized the Wizarding World the way he did. This is a Voldy who actually scares me. And I'm so very glad that you put Snape with Nott instead of Lucius Malfoy... I think it's common to forget that there are other DEs besides Lucius in some fanfics.

You're doing all the right things! Thanks for sharing them with us.

Oh, and I really love the idea of Severus getting a REAL second chance to grow up without making the mistakes he made the first time. Don't let them find a cure... let him enjoy his new life!

Ahh! Love the metaphor at the end of this chapter. This whole story is very well-written... you have the rebelliousness of a twelve-year-old down perfectly. If indeed Snape had been 39, then was turned back to 12 in a 10-year-old's body, this is most probably how he would act. To put it shortly-your characterization is wonderful! My congrats and thanks, and I look forward to another chapter.

I loved the part where Sev covers his remark about them making a mistake with that answer about the potion being made wrong; such an answer truely befitting the Potion Master's mind. I'm glad though, that he's going back to Hogwarts. I'm sure Dumbledore will be happy to have him safely back. The angry Auror amusses me. He's obviously encoutered the adult Snape.

I like how you paint the characters not black and white, but rather shades of grey. Loved how you made Snape wonder, whether he was a real friend of Nott once, or whether it was just pretended for his sake as a spy.

Wonderful! I'm completely addicted. Little Severus is so cute! (Well, I think "big" Severus is cute, so don't trust my opinion.) I like the implications of a changed, almost parental relationship with Voldemort. I am very interested to see where this will go. Please, keep it up!
