This was one of those stories where you never know where it's going to take you! Edward and Bella's relationship was a delight to read as well. Thank you for writing and sharing.

Witch trials, the crusades, other large-scale public persecutions backed by a governing entities—they were always just a bit fantastical to me. Sure, logically, I could follow the progression of the madness that led to the stocks or the stake, but such baseness, such mindlessness, such…uneducated inanity surely couldn’t exist in my modern, first-world, enlightened sphere of existence.

But after the past seven to eight years, after watching a president incite an insurrection on his own government—an insurrection during which gallows were constructed for a leader and fellow member of the president’s very own party—after witnessing such events, it is distressingly easy to find Isabella’s fate well within an American citizen’s current realm of reality.

Ugh. Of course James is an absolute cad…despicable.

Not sure if I’ve reviewed before, but on this nth reading, I’m compelled to say (again?) how much I love this fic. I wish it were even longer—that we could have a few futuretakes, perhaps of Carlisle and Alice eventually finding their mates? It would be great to have an outtake of Rosalie’s first meeting with Isabella after so long.

Regardless, I’m thankful for the amazing story we did get and all your time and effort devoted to writing it. Thank you so much!
