Well, I for one am enjoying this and look forward to more chapters. There's a place for hurt-comfort fics and although some do go a bit overboard, you do it with such delicious knowingness while still making the characters believable.

Angst needs to be earned. ok, let me explain. You can't just start out with a character in tears and have them cry constantly throughout your entire multiple chapter fiction. If a character goes through an order and finally is able to let go of the pain at the end then it feels like a release for the character and the readers who are waiting for it. But if a character just is vulnerable and teary throughout then it gets played out. And its also out of character. It's out of character for almost anyone. Especially for Snape though. You write about him so much, I'd expect you'd have a slightly better grasp on his character. The pride, the anger, the self-hatred, the need for power is all lost in this story. Instead, there's a weak Snape, a completely OOC Draco, a McGonagall who began in character but then became a love sick puppy for a man who she taught in school and is thirty years her junior.

This is a great story (If I review already, don't mind, I've been in tons of stories and I don't usually remember most of my reviews I made). This song kind of remind me of the song "Somewhere I belong" by Linkin Park... Keep it up, I'm glad you revived Snape early, it would been worse...

yey! I'm so happy now! I wouldn't read this chapter until I finished the 5th harry potter book, because when I read your description up at the top, I freaked out and I was scared it would spoil something, but it didn't anyway! I finished the book, and I actually felt embarrassed along with poor Severus! This chapter made me cheer up a bit though, and there's more? I can't wait!

What a wonderful picture you have painted of Severus! I love the fact that he is getting the recognition that he deserves now. He has done so many dangerous things for the fight against voldmort.
