You broke me, my friend. Again! You've got to stop it (never stop...).
This was so heart breaking with such lovely imagery and emotion woven throughout, as you are incredibly talented at doing.
One thing: it feels as if the ending is out of sequence. The paragraph beginning with 'A blaze of pain that suddenly erupts...' feels like the section where he dies, yet in the final paragraph it says 'Knowing that Fate had decided his time' (I loved the image of Fate with her shears 'weighing up his fragile thread of life...chills). To me that final paragraph feels out of place, as if he's dying again (?). I don't really know...it just throws off the flow of the story at the end, which is a real shame.
Despite that little hiccup I loved this to peices. And, oh my darling do not give up with 'Fallen Angels', but don't force yourself to write it either. Maybe just try and work out the next few steps of the plot before you try and put any thing down. Remember, whatever happens, I'll be here to read it!
Good luck!

Just a correction the musical is called Jekyll and Hyde and is one of the most underappreciated musicals of all time. And its a saying used a lot.
Deep Forest Green chapter 1 . 3/9/2014
I loved the references to the Romantic poets and the fact that Jehan thought about Valjean in his final moments. I also loved the clause "lost in the darkness and cannot or do not want to acknowledge the light which their flickering, burning flames of revolutionary progress strive to bring." My only complaint about this piece is that it was too long. Since this is a deathfic, it should be a thousand words at most.

Well that was... wow. I'm almost in tears, especially at the part where Combeferre was calling out that they had a hostage to trade. Lovely story.
