That's a great story! One of the few good BattleTech crossovers. And one, which does not include Clan Wolverine. And it is a crossover with Macross (and not with RoboTech). Too bad, that it seems that you have abandoned it. Couldn't you solve your problems with chapter twelve?

You made good background details around all factions. Almost perfect. Will you make characters' profiles?

VF is so overwhelming! This chapter is so exciting!

You did well on describing every character.

I totally forgot Macross has artillery as well. Do they need a lot of resupply in such situation? Will they overheat in short period?

Is VF-25G Messiah here?

Are VF going to carry multiple shields like FA-78 Full Armor Gundam or Sundowner from Metal Gear Rising?

There's a number of very fundamental problems with this chapter, and the ground battle sequence that takes up most of its length.

First, you give no reason why this unit of two Destroids is effectively out in the middle of nowhere by themselves. You give no reasons how or why they have some kind of improvized supply dump here in the middle of a landing operation. Given a military unit should normally default to actions which preserve the unit, you've also given no reason why they're doing a last stand over this piece of dirt instead of falling back.

Second, it's very obvious you were running something along the lines of a Megamek simulation and just added a zero to the weapon ranges while pacing things to rounds. In turn it's also very obvious the "Destroids" are homebrew Mechs being simmed with Battletech weapons, and both of these things are being done without you actually acknowledging you're doing them. Hence you do things like framing a Centurion as being unable to miss at 300 Meters but our viewpoint character can't fire SRMs because they max out at 270 meters, while claiming that's 3km. This causes problems with these interpreted battle report antics, problems with the timing and sensor contact situation, and makes the hamstringing very obvious.

Third, partway through your sim battle you forget you have a full Lance of your homebrew Mechs and instead handle things if you just have the light with the Light Gauss pretending to be a Destroid, and the Heavy. Then they effectively just reappear right at the end after apparently doing nothing. If you're going to sideline them you need to respect that in your handling.

Fourth, per the stuff surrounding this excessively extended scene it's clear we're talking about a major deployment of hundreds of your homebrew Mechs versus a disorganized collection of poorly maintained Mechs of similar size. As you've made no serious attempt to characterize this battle that means the skirmish here is effectively forced to operate as a meta-characterization of the engagement. That thus sets them up as incompetents who deploy in an overextended manner for no good reason, rather than massing forces and pushing out, and who were saved from their incompetence by air strikes... The rest of the battle handling and the characterization afterwards doesn't line up with that though.

If you want to have the pirate forces almost get one over on the NUNS, do the writing to respect that. Actually have something like a trap that the NUNS fall in to due to overconfidence leading them into a kill zone. Actually respect what Destroids are, can do, and actually write something dynamic to respect that instead of a lazy interpreted battle report from MegaMek.

This is actually quite enjoyable. A shame that I don't have very much experience with the Japanese Macross timeline, almost all my Macross experience comes from the Americanized Robotech and its own extended universe.

I can only imagine the stravag that will ensue when Clans inevitably run into the Zentradi, since you actually teased them being a thing in the Deep Periphery at some point.

Also, it is worth noting that Land Air Mechs exist in the BattleTech universe already, as do a lot of mechs that were based on the original Macross designs (see: Unseen mechs)

If the UN Spacy runs into any of those Unseen mechs and LAM's at any point, then it would be interesting to see them make comparisons, like the Marauder being very similar in appearance to the Zentradi's Glaug. Heck, you could even have a UN Spacy Destroid's targeting computer mis-identify a Timber Wolf as Glaug and Catapult, instead of Marauder and Catapult.

I like to see what happens when the Clans run into the UNSpacy, and get their butts handed to them. Because you know the Clans are going to shoot first and ask questions later. Plus how long until a Innershpere exploration mission stumbles upon a old Zentreadi/Meltrandi/Supervision Army Battle sight. Of course The Clanner might run into the Zentreadi or Meltrandi.

always fun to get more of this story.

I have a suggestion, a minor thing for those of us who get stuck on details: how about a list of planets within the UN sphere of influence, their degree of involvement (allied vs. integrated, etc), and rough population counts (don't have the sourcebooks, and most info up on the battletech wiki is either (post)Jihad era or doesn't specify timeline).
Through a bit of judicious reading I know the below worlds are relevant, but considering the expanse of the Outworld Wastes it would be nice to have a clearer picture
