nice that Harry and Hermione are talking

I always thought if Harry had known earlier in his school years about Snape & Lily that the BEST comeback whenever Snape makes snide remarks to a student would be:

"What did my mother ever see in you?"

I liked this story but the introduction of Daphne and Neville kinds takes away something from it for me. I get you want to add more characters and kind of have to have people to play off of, but I'd have rather seen teachers. There is also very little training or magic in these chapters, it's more slice of life without magic. The magic that is used, is canon or boring. No real power arc to hold my attention, no antagonist, and the introduction of the two students just bored me.

Gotta opt out of the rest of this one. When Harry is 'woe is me whiny' instead of 'this is crap and I'M gonna fix it' I have to say good bye. I went thru pubescent angst once and I hated it. Not doing it in my spare time.
