Definitely a fan, love the author's honesty and sense of humour, not just in the notes but coming across in the fanfic as well :)

The authors notes in chapter 7 provide wonderful insight into all three main protagonists and the journey into adulthood. This was a beautiful scene to read. Very well written. Huge amount of respect goes to the author of this fanfic for this.

A lecture means nothing so Snape gets away again.

Dumby's decision and ordering Snape to his office may be a good thing, but only if some definitive, visible ppunishment action is taken. It's too much to expect his termination, but suspension for a long period and monitored probation is an option, even if its not viable. That would be a minimum.

Well story was interesting, the 7 years for 11 chapters gives a faint hope this isn't abandoned but who knows.

If it is abandoned I hope it is because of the muse and nothing else.

Meh the self imposed guilt it a bit over the top. That said canon Harry has issues and his issues has issues, so forcing him to confront these issues regardless that he didn't do anything to Hermione is good and was decently organic. He has revelation and growth which is more than can be said about JKRs Harry.

The end of chapter note is a Snape excuse.

I know the story is old, but how can one have Hermione with a limp when Harry had his entire arm bones and hand regrown without issue. A troll club vs a bludger both cause shatter damage, Hermione attended by competent people, Harry by flophart

Through their deeds and works, not their words, we get to know people. That said, I asked myself why the writer here tried to portray a bad man as a nice guy. The only answers: a) you ignored Harry's life up to this point, or forgot about whose deed that was, b) You needed Dumbles to be good, even though you had to twist everything beyond our recognition, and c) you identified with Harry being as being doormat and ostensibly an ignoramus with no sense of dignity. You see, you are forcing a squared into a round, you seem to know this and still keep on, and that lacks sense.
