Nicely written Copper Kitten. I like the lead up of Remus being put forward by Hagrid. They share some of the same qualities of not being fully accepted by their peers or the general wizarding community and for Hagrid to do that felt natural. I would have been very interested in seeing more of the interplay between Slughorn and McGonagall. I really look forward to your next one. Great job

A good oneshot. I agree that Lily would be unanimous with the professors. I'm not sure with the angle you put on Slughorn but I can't say I completely disagree with it. It wouldn't surprise me if it was Dumbledore who put up the idea of James and I like your little spin on the decision rather than have it decided by just the headmaster.
