| Ellen chapter 20 . 9/15
What a delightful story! I'm loving both the story itself, in all it's sweetness, sexiness, and occasional angstiness, as well as your clever insights and analyses.

One of the best Chuck fan fiction stories that I have ever read. I sincerely hope that you find some way to continue the story.

Good start for the story.

I still don't get how Sarah fucking Shaw is the most sexual/graphic thing in this story...even after 20 chapters. It's actually insane

What a tremendous effort and story. Been reading Chuck fan fiction for a few months and hands down this my favorite thus far. Great insight and analysis of the characters exposing/highlighting their strengths and weaknesses.
Truthfully after reading all these great stories the TV is a bit diasppointing to watch. But I bet I will eventually.
Hoping you will continue with this story.

Finally got caught up on this one. I enjoyed this one a great deal as usual. I do find it interesting how there are now things that are generally accepted as almost canon in the FF world that really are barely even referenced if at all by the show. One of the most common is Sarah's love for her car and that she would ever let anyone else drive it. Other than we don't see anyone else driving it there is nothing in actual canon that shows her obsession with the car. If anything the only one shown to be obsessed with a care is Casey and the Crown Vic. Another is Sarah being overtly jealous to the point of violence if anyone flirted with Chuck. As you discussed here I'd say that in canon it was more envy on Sarah's part in regards to Lou, Jill and the pointless Hannah. She could never give him what they could in her mind. And after they finally got together, the writers knew from the reaction to those horrible first 12 from this season that relationship angst and threats to the central relationship would not be received well at all.
But it is a fun narrative to explore and you do it well here. Can't wait to see where it goes next.

Very cool to see this story get an update...nice!
Envious/Jealous Sarah tends to make for enjoyable stories when done right, and I agree that the wish fulfillment aspect contributes to that, but I dont think thats the entire reason. When Chuck becomes envious of men Sarah pays attention to, I think as an audience, we see Chuck at his absolute worst. His confidence goes down, he becomes awkward and clumsy...its just genuinely hard to watch. With Sarah though, it humanizes her. For just a brief moment we really get to see the person under the agent and get a glimpse of just how deep her feelings for Chuck really run
I think this may be the first story Ive read that makes any real acknowledgment towards how much it probably would have hurt Chuck to realize their whole first date was fake. Feeling like something was finally going right for the first time in five years, only to be smacked down by reality again...I always felt like that was something that would have affected him more than we ever got to see
I do like that youre dealing with some of the issues that would probably still exist between Chuck and Sarah at this early stage in their relationship. In particular, I think your explanation for why Chuck chose to become a spy was interesting. Chuck is already predisposed to feeling like hes not good enough for Sarah, and I can see how maybe a disconnect between what she told him and how she would sometimes act could confuse Chuck into feeling as though he wasnt worthy of her...and we know on some level at least, this is definitely a fear he carries until well into season four.
On the flipside, I think you did a great job showing how Sarah's own jealousy comes from a very similar place. Theres very much a fear that Chuck deserves someone better than her, and that shes too broken as a person to ever give him a normal relationship.
I think the timing here is appropriate as well, as Sarah has just taken a huge leap of faith by trusting Chuck with her heart again. Her insecurities would probably be a bit closer to the surface at this stage in their relationship.
Really liked this chapter overall, and I hope you continue to mix some of these more serious conversations into the fluffier aspects of the story...great job!

I have to say that I really enjoyed them getting their jealousies out in the open. If only canon Chuck and Sarah had done that. I guess that's what good fanfiction is for...to fill in the blanks. Thanks for the story.

I watched Chuck vs wookie and Carina tried to flirt with Chuck only when Sarah is not around like the hotel room scene.

I was happy to see you back! I agree with what you said. Chuck has got use to men ogling Sarah. So it is fun to see badass Sarah turn into a bit of a green eyed monster.
I enjoyed their much needed discussion about Chuck downloading Intersect 2.0. Thank you!

Well, well. What a pleasant surprise! 2017 took a turn for the better with an update to the fabulous story I never thought I'd see updated. From your AN and throughout the chapter, I realized how much I missed your insights into the complicated relationship Chuck and Sarah have (wait, did I really just say complicated?). This is a very interesting confrontation that absolutely had to take place - and should not be done and over with. I really appreciated the level of honesty and vulnerability you wrote into this - from both sides. The revelation that Chuck saw himself as a "walking, talking Microsoft Paper Clip Helper" crystalized the inferiority and insecurity Chuck experienced every day with the first Intersect. It was refreshing to hear Chuck respond to Sarah's outburst about Lou/Jill/Hannah - mature, confident, honest and vulnerable - it reminded me of the near closing scene from American Hero where Chuck tells Sarah he loves her. And Sarah's strength in her insecurity was also refreshing - I know, that sounds like a paradox, doesn't it? But seriously, most FF show Sarah becoming weak and almost helpless at times like this needy is the word that comes to mind. And while your Sarah shows real insecurity and vulnerability she does it with strength. Well done!
I am truly hoping it wont be another year until we see an update - I like writing review for your work. Give me something to do ;-)
