This is a great story, your plot while non canon sparks an interest that got me truly enveloped in the storyline. i really hope you update again soon

10 years old by the way. Totally unrealistic in my opinion, I get the whole be the very best and all that, but having almost an adult-adolescent like relationship is cringe for me. I don't know, many people might like it, but it is uncomfortable for me and I seriously doubt a big timeskip for about 5 years to happen. They are supposed o be children, not kissing deeply after beating 5 thugs and declaring "my girl" like grown up man or something, what is next, sex under some cheap plot or romance? Sorry for my insulting review, but this is really bothering for me to be honest.

Has Ash's father never heard of a telephone or what? He hasn't called his wife in all this time? If someone hadn't called in ten years I would assume they're dead.

You realise that "We are equals" and "I don't tolerate insubordination" are completely contradictory statements right? I see what you were trying to do so I can't really blame you for the wording, but it does sound pretty pretentious when you stop and think about it. Other than that small detail, great chapter! I really enjoy how the story has been developing so far, I haven't read the whole thing yet cause I just found it two days ago. I have to say, I usually don't like it when trainers catch a bunch of Pokémon but you addressed that and it doesn't really bother me in your story now. Also, I like how you're incorporating the unknown gyms in the story. I don't particularly like the developing Ash/Giselle relationship but it looks like it's here to stay so I'll just deal with that... Great story so far overall!

Soooo...what if Ash was canon Ash with no changes? Because he already IS the Chosen One and savior/champion of the world. There's a bunch of movies about it and everything. And many prophecies he ends up fulfilling repeatedly, too. I'm not sure how much more obvious it can get.
